FOOTBALL - 2023/24 efl championship

The summer break - depending on who you ask - has both dragged on and flown by, and another bumper season of the Championship is almost upon us. The 2023/24 season promises to be one of the most hotly contested in recent memory, with a host of huge clubs all vying for promotion to the Premier League.

Newly-relegated Southampton will be involved in the season curtain-raiser against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, and the Saints are third-favourites in our Outright (fixed odds) and Season Points (spreads) markets. Their Season Points spread stands at 75 - 77, with a fixed odds price of 13/2 to win the Championship and 21/10 to secure immediate promotion back to the top flight. You can view our full list of latest prices by clicking here.

In the bulk of the fixtures which take place on the weekend, the highlights include promotion favourites Leicester taking on Coventry at 12pm on Sunday, Sunderland hosting newly-promoted Ipswich, and the first 'Spreadex derby' of the season as Blackburn take on West Brom.

Our 'Gameweek Group' spread market specials are also back! These markets are aggregated totals of things like goals and match results, for example the amount of home wins across the matchday. Our current spreads for Total Goals across 12 matches stands at 31.2 - 32.2, while our Fastest Goal market - which is a spread of the first goal to be scored across all of the matches - is 4.1 - 5.1. CRICKET - 'THE HUNDRED' season 3

After the excitement of the Ashes series which ultimately ended in unfortunate disappointment (for England at least), the world of cricket now focuses on the third season of The Hundred. For those not familiar with the competition, it is the ECB's 100-ball-a-side competition, features eight teams across seven cities competing in men's and women's cricket. Every day will be a double-header with a women's match preceding a men's game. Tuesday sees the opening fixtures of season 3 between Trent Rockets and Southern Brave.

London Spirit will play Oval Invincibles twice, Northern Superchargers will meet Manchester Originals on two occasions, Southern Brave will tackle Welsh Fire twice, and Trent Rockets and Birmingham Phoenix will go head-to-head two times.

The table toppers will progress straight through to the final at Lord's on Sunday August 27 with the sides that finish second and third in the group-stage meeting in the Eliminator a day earlier at The Kia Oval to determine who will face the league leaders in the final.

In terms of the outright betting for the overall competition winner, the Trent Rockets begin as favourites with a fixed odds price of 15/4, and a spread of 15.3 - 21.1.

TENNIS - ATP KITZBUHEL, ATP WASHINGTON & ATP LOS CABOS

Finally, the tennis season continues in earnest as this week sees the final clay tournament of the ATP season at Kitzbuhel in Austria, where home hope Dominic Thiem is looking to spark a resurgence in his ongoing struggles after injury, and two events in North America with the ATP 500 in Washington - where Taylor Fritz and Andy Murray feature - and an ATP 250 in Los Cabos, Mexico with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Cameron Norrie in action.

Players will be looking to gain momentum and confidence leading into the US hard court swing with plenty of big tournaments coming up in the weeks ahead including the Montreal Masters and Cincinnati Masters double-header, and of course the US Open at the end of the month where Carlos Alcaraz will look to defend his title, win his third Grand Slam, and add to his ever-growing trophy cabinet after success at Wimbledon this summer.

Before that though, you can bet in-play on all of the live matches going on in the next week, with live streaming also offered!
