There is a huge sporting week ahead with our traders braced for a flurry of online betting activity. This week sees a full card of European and domestic football ahead of a weekend where horse racing betting eyes will be trained on Paris for the Arc.

FOOTBALL – EUROPEAN FOOTBALL

Football spread betting punters have a quick turnaround this week as attention shifts to European competitions with all the domestic sides in action this week. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool are al odds-on shots this week against PSG, Slovan Bratislava and Bologna respectively.

Villa Park hosts top tier European football for the first time since the early 1980s and the hosts are 16/5 to bead Bundesliga table-toppers Bayern Munich, whilst Celtic are also in action against German opposition with the Bhoys 5/1 to overcome Borussia Dortmund on the road.

In the Europa League, Tottenham should have no troubles in Hungary against Ferencvaros, but Manchester United (who were slaughtered by Spurs on Sunday) face a trickier test away to Porto where they are 29/20 to secure a win. At Ibrox, Rangers head into their clash with Lyon as narrow 6/4 favourites.

Finally in the Conference League, there are five British and Irish sides in action, all with varying chances. At a price of 1/4 you would fancy Chelsea to get past Gent at Stamford Bridge, but spare a thought for TNS and Larne who are 28/1 and 18/1 respectively to bag away wins at Fiorentina and Molde respectively.

With potential investment from Brighton owner Tony Bloom swirling, Hearts are 5/4 shots to get their campaign off to a flying start away to Dinamo Minsk and Shamrock Rovers (losers last night in the league against St Pat’s) welcome Cypriot side APOEL to Dublin with the visitors 87/100 to rain on Rovers’ parade.

FOOTBALL – EFL

Here at Spreadex, we are huge supporters of the EFL and there is a stacked midweek card of action with plenty of our partner sides in action. Partner club West Bromwich Albion were beaten for the first time this season, but they will be looking to bounce back against Middlesbrough, with the Baggies available to back at 29/20.

Also on Main Event this week are the side who beat West Brom (and another one of our partner clubs), Sheffield Wednesday. It has been a tough start to the season for the Yorkshire side and they could be up against it again tomorrow with opponents Bristol City favoured 02.-0.4 on our Supremacy football spread betting market.

Elsewhere in the leagues, Birmingham Coty host Huddersfield Town in League One, whilst Rotherham United will be looking to end a near two year run without an away win this evening. The Millers head south to face Cambridge United this evening and the Millers can be backed at even money to reward their long-suffering travelling fans.

RUGBY LEAGUE – SUPER LEAGUE PLAY-OFFS

The culmination of the Super League season is nearly upon us and there are just four teams left in the race to claim the Super League title. Friday’s semi-final sees Warrington travel to Hull KR for what should be a blockbuster clash. Just two points separated the two sides during the season and KR are -2.5 on the handicap for this one, with the Robins 8/11 just to win and the Wire at 6/5.

On Saturday we have another Battle Of The Borough as Leigh look to reach their first Grand Final of the Super League era by beating bitter rivals Wigan who are chasing their seventh Super League title. With home advantage, the Warriors are expected to stop the Leopards’ charge with the hosts even money on a  -12.5 handicap. However, Leigh have sprung a few surprises this season and with nearly 4,000 away fans expected at the DW Stadium, they will be roared on by a raucous travelling army.

Also on Saturday is the NRL Grand Final between the Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers. The Panthers are looking for their fourth title in a row, but there is very little to split to two sides in the betting with Storm at even money and the reigning champions at 5/6 to win the match in 80 minutes. In our rugby league spread betting markets, the Total Points spread is 40-43 whilst you can buy or sell Match Tries squared at 53-60.
