Bets Of The Week 04.03.25

landing-page-betsoftheweek-040325

There is plenty of online betting action to get stuck into this week, with the Cheltenham Festival looming large. As an amuse bouche we have previewed action from the Champions League, PGA Tour, and Six Nations in this week’s betting blog.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

FOOTBALL – EUROPEAN KNOCKOUT STAGES

The main online betting action from midweek will come courtesy of the European knockout rounds and the action gets underway this evening with Aston Villa travelling to Belgium for a clash with Club Brugge. The Belgians beat Villa in the league phase back in November, but the visitors are 29/20 to take a lead back to the Midlands.

Elsewhere tonight, Arsenal are 0.4-0.6 favourites on our Supremacy football spread betting market against PSV Eindhoven, while free scoring PSG are 13/10 to beat Liverpool tomorrow.

In the Europa League, beleaguered Manchester United are 11/4 to win on their travels at Sociedad, with Tottenham even money to triumph away to AZ Alkmaar. Rangers – beaten at the weekend by Motherwell – face a tricky looking tie in Istanbul against Fenerbahce. The hosts there are 0.8-1 favourites on the Supremacy spread.

Finally, in the third echelon of European football, Chelsea are 4/6 to win away at Copenhagen. A fivefold on all English sides winning pays an enhanced acca win of 196/1 from 163/1 thanks to our acca boost feature.

GOLF – ARNOLD PALMER INVITATIONAL

A high-quality field travel to Florida this weekend for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, always a key date in the calendar for gold spread betting punters. Your 7/2 favourite is Scottie Scheffler who has won the tournament twice, but is yet to land a win on the nascent 2025 PGA Tour.

Rory McIlroy (twice a winner here) and Ludvig Aberg both have Tour wins to their name this season and they are priced at 7/1 and 12/1 respectively. Viktor Hovland has had his struggles of late, but he has a decent record in the Arnold Palmer and odds of 60/1 may appeal to each way punters given we are paying 1/5 odds on six places. The Norwegian could also be a live player at 40/1 in the ‘Without McIlroy or Scheffler’ market where we will pay 1/4 odds on the first five places.

Away from our fixed odds offering, we have plenty of golf spread betting markets to enjoy, with our popular Wire2Wire spread live alongside others including individual first round scores. The action gets underway on Thursday afternoon.

RUGBY UNION – SIX NATIONS

The Six Nations is back this week and the best game on paper is the first one up with France travelling to Dublin. Ireland are on course for a historic hat trick of titles and home advantage may be enough to power them past the visitors who will be led by the enigmatic Antoine Dupont. There is little to separate the pair with Ireland given a 0-3 start on our Supremacy rugby union spread betting market. France’s last visit to Dublin in 2023 yielded 51 points and you can trade Total Points this weekend at 45-48.

Despite putting in a decent performance against Ireland last time out, Wales are not given much of a chance in their match with Scotland, while England will be expected to roll through Italy at Twickenham. The Azzurri conceded 73 points to France on their last outing and you can buy or sell England Points at 37-40.
