There is plenty of action for online betting punters to get stuck into this week and we highlight the main betting markets from the midweek football, cricket and darts.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

FOOTBALL – CHAMPIONSHIP

With Manchester City as good as through in their Champions League tie with FC Copenhagen, domestic attention will focus on the Championship where, all of a sudden, we seem to have a title race on our hands.

Leicester, for so long the clear favourite in our Championship winner odds, have been trimmed back to 4/9 to take the title and they have a tough run of fixtures starting with tonight’s trip to our principal partners Sunderland.

Three points behind the Foxes are Ipswich who are 8/13 to prevail in tonight’s main televised clash with Bristol City, whilst Town are 6/1 to win the title and 4/6 to get promoted. Another side well in the mix are Leeds, who dropped points for the first time in ten matches at the weekend, but with a home clash against Stoke City tonight they are the shortest price to win amongst our Championship odds this evening at 3/10.

The Whites are 7/2 in our Championship winner odds whilst Southampton, who strung together a club record unbeaten run earlier in the season, are clinging on to the coattails of the top three with the Saints 20/1 to win the league and 21/20 in our promotion odds.

All games are shown live on Sky, but as we mentioned above, Ipswich’s match is on Main Event this evening, whilst QPR fans will be hoping their side can pull off another unlikely win when they host West Bromwich Albion in front of the Sky cameras tomorrow.

FOOTBALL  – EUROPEAN FOOTBALL

Manchester City (so short there is no price available on the to qualify market) may well have done their job, but the knockout rounds begin for four of our sides still in Europe in the two supporting trophies.

Liverpool are the first in action and are a backable price at 17/20 in the 17:45 kick-off away to Sparta Prague. From there, attention will shift to Freiburg where West Ham will be the visitors, These two sides met in the group stage of the competition so will certainly be well acquainted with each other and there is little to separate them in our football betting odds. The hosts are 6/4 to get the win with West Ham (who won both matches in the group stage) priced at 17/10 and the draw at 23/10.

Rangers appear to have the hardest tie of the British sides on paper and after losing to Motherwell on Saturday, they travel to Lisbon as 23/5 outsiders to face a Benfica side who were beaten 5-0 by Porto on Sunday.

Finally, the favourites in our Europa Conference League winner odds Aston Villa have a glamour tie with Ajax in the last-16 and although the Dutch side have recovered from their well-publicised poor start to the season, they are having a poor year by their high standards. The Villains find themselves odds-on at 4/6 to win in the Dutch capital with plenty in the Claret and Blue half of Birmingham jumping on the 2/1 in our Europa Conference League winner odds on them to win their second major European trophy.

CRICKET – INDIA v ENGLAND

England may well have lost this series away in India, but they will be looking to reclaim some pride in the final Test in the picturesque mountain city of Dharamshala.

It has been a disappointing series with the bat for England’s middle order and they will perhaps rue the absence of Harry Brook through personal circumstances, with the Yorkshireman an exceptional player of spin. Instead, another Tyke will take the attention on Thursday as Jonny Bairstow takes to the field for the 100th time in England Test whites.

Bairstow has endured a frustrating series on the subcontinent, but his penchant for panache means he cannot be ruled out of getting a big score. There will no doubt be some interest in his runs lines in our cricket spread betting markets.

Also on the cusp of a milestone is Jimmy Anderson. At 41 the Burnley Express may have slowed a touch but becoming only the third man to reach 700 Test wickets and the first seamer to do so would be an exceptional achievement.

In terms of the prices, India are unsurprisingly odds-on favourites at 4/7 with England at 13/5. There is rain in the Himalayan air, so the draw is a potential runner at 9/2, though the forecast seems to be changing by the hour. Once again cricket spread betting punters and English fans alike have an early start on Thursday with play getting underway at 04:00.

Also starting on Thursday is the second Test between New Zealand and Australia, with the Aussies 1-0 up in the series. The Black Caps are 13/5 to level it up, with a win for the tourists at 1/2 and the draw available to back at 6/1. Finally, there are some early boosted bets for this match with Kane Williamson 11/4 from 9/4 to be the top Kiwi batsman, and Marnus Labuschagne 5/1 from 4/1 to do the same for the Aussies.

DARTS – PREMIER LEAGUE

After being beaten in the UK Open final at the weekend, Luke Humphries is the 11/4 joint favourite along with Luke Littler in our Premier League darts odds as the tungsten bonanza heads to Brighton.

The outright favourite though is Michael van Gerwen at 5/2 and the Dutch darting doyen has picked up three nightly Premier League wins in five weeks with successes coming in Berlin, Newcastle, and Glasgow.

MVG will play Rob Cross and is the 8/13 favourite to prevail with Luke Humphries the same price to get past an out-of-sorts Gerwyn Price. Michael Smith meanhwile is a touch shorter at 4/7 to beat Peter Wright. The Scotsman has had a tough few months, but did make the last 16 of the UK Open whilst the opening match of the night sees Luke Littler 4/9 favourite to beat Nathan Aspinall, though the Asp has reached consecutive finals, winning one.

As ever we will have a full range of darts spread betting markets alongside specials and price boosts on the night.
