Bets Of The Week

bets-of-the-week-070323-landing-page-header

European football is the main draw this week with London outfits Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, West Ham, and Manchester United all in action.

There is also plenty of racing as we build towards the Cheltenham Festival as well as the Players Championship at Sawgrass.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

GOLF – THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

As ever, a high-class field heads to Sawgrass to try and get their hands on the mammoth prize on offer. With just under a month until the Masters, this will be a key opportunity to asses where the golfers are at ahead of the first major of the year.

Two Europeans head the betting with Rory McIlroy (second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week) and Jon Rahm both priced at 8/1. Scottie Scheffler, who had a stellar 2022 season, is 10/1 with former champions Justin Thomas and Jason Day at 16/1 and 28/1 respectively.

We will be playing seven places at 1/5 odds so if you fancy an outsider there is still some value to be had.

Kurt Kitayama landed the biggest prize of his career last week and he will hope to follow it up again this weekend. The spread on the Californian’s finishing position is 48-51 with a maximum makeup of 70.

FOOTBALL – CHELSEA v BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Under fire manager Graham Potter will hope to see his side overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit this evening as Chelsea welcome Dortmund to Stamford Bridge this evening. Despite a win over beleaguered Leeds at the weekend, the Blues’ season drastically needs a shot in the arm and they are 3/4 to get the win tonight and Evens to make it through to the next round.

With just the one goal in the first leg in Germany, the spread on total goals tonight is 2.65-2.85 and ahead of what could be a tense game, the spread on bookings is 52-56.

FOOTBALL – TOTTENHAM v MILAN

Another London side looking to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit are Spurs who host Milan on Wednesday evening. Brahim Diaz’s 7th minute strike was enough to give the Italians the win a few weeks ago, but they are 3/1 to win inside 90 minutes in North London. Spurs are a shade of odds-on at 10/11, with the draw priced at 13/5.

The away goals rule doesn’t come into play in European competition any more and Spurs are 6/5 to qualify for the quarter finals with the Rossoneri 4/6 to reach the next round.

If you fancy a go on our Supremacy spread, we have Spurs as narrow favourites with the market priced at 0.45-0.65.
