After the Grand National comes the Masters as golf betting punters prepare for the most prestigious major of the year. Aside from that, there is online betting action in European football and the Monte Carlo Masters.   We have previewed the odds and markets below in this week’s betting blog.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

FOOTBALL – EUROPEAN FOOTBALL

Six of our sides are in European action this week and we start this evening with Arsenal 21/20 to beat a Real Madrid side who suffered a shock defeat against Valencia at the weekend. The Gunners – 5/4 to qualify – will be looking to take a result back to the Bernabeu with a 2-1 win for the hosts a boosted bet from 15/2 to 17/2.

Tomorrow sees Aston Villa travel to PSG and after the French outfit despatched Liverpool in the last round, they have been made 1.35-1.55 favourites in our Supremacy football spread betting market.

All might not be well at Tottenham, but Ange Postecoglou’s side are 8/11 to secure a first leg lead as they welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to North London. Manchester United travel to the banks of the Rhone this evening as they face Lyon, with Ruben Amorim’s side 8/15 to make the last four.

The final British representative in the Europa League is Rangers, who will have their work cut out on Thursday as they host Athletic Bilbao. The Gers have been shambolic domestically, but they have a knack of raising their game for the big occasions with wins in the last two Old Firm clashes. A home win will be vital if Rangers are to progress, and they are currently available to back at 9/4.

Finally, we come to Chelsea, who are the 4/9 favourites in our Europa Conference League betting. They travel to Warsaw for a clash with Legia as heavy favourites. Spanish teen Marc Guiu has found league minutes hard to come by, but he averages 1.9 goals per 90 in the Conference League and could be one to watch in our Player Goal Minutes markets.

GOLF – THE MASTERS

In terms of golf betting, this is one of the biggest weeks of the year as The Masters rolls into town at Augusta. After two titles in the last three years, it is perhaps unsurprising to see Scottie Scheffler made the 19/4 favourite, with the consistent Rory McIlroy a touch further back in the betting at 6/1.

The man who split Scheffler’s titles, Jon Rahm, is a 12/1 shot with fellow LIV golfer Bryson De Chambeau priced at 14/1. There is British and Irish interest further down the betting with Shane Lowry (33/1), Tommy Fleetwood (35/1), Robert MacIntyre (45/1), and Tyrell Hatton (60/1) all gunning for Augusta glory.

If you do fancy one further down the pack, we are offering 1/5 odds for the first seven places.

As ever, we have a full range of golf spread betting markets, with more set to go live later this week as we count down to the action.

TENNIS – MONTE CARLO MASTERS

With three titles in the last four years, Greek sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas is 11/1 to extend his excellent record in the Monte Carlo Masters which sees some of the world’s best prepare for the French Open.

Six Spaniards have won this event with Carlos Alcaraz a 6/4 favourite to become the seventh. Novak Djokovic – himself a two time winner in the era of Rafa Nadal dominance – can be backed to win at 5/1, with Alexander Zverev priced up at 10/1.

In our tennis spread betting markets, you can trade our 60-40-20-10-5 market as an alternative to fixed odds betting. Here the spread settles at 60 if you back the winner, 50 for the losing finalist, 20 for reaching the semis, ten for the quarter finals, and five for exiting at the round of 16 stage.

That meant if you bought Jack Draper at his current spread of 9.5-12.5, you would need the Englishman to make the semis for a profit.
