Bets Of The Week

We have six European semi-finals taking place this week, the pick of the bunch being Real Madrid’s first leg tie against Manchester City at the Bernabeu. West Ham are also in action on Thursday night as they host Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

There is also the drama of the EFL play-offs to look forward to with our principal partners Sunderland in action on Saturday as they welcome Luton Town to the Stadium Of Light on Saturday.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

REAL MADRID V MAN CITY

Arguably the highlight of the week is Real Madrid’s clash with Man City in a re-run of last year's semi-final. That tie saw the Spaniards complete a remarkable comeback to reach the final, which they went on to win.

We have boosted two best strikers in world football to score anytime in this semi-final clash with Erling Haaland now priced at evens; whilst Karim Benzema is priced at longer odds of 17/10.

You can also bet on the two forwards' Player Goal Minutes with Haaland’s spread being 33-36 compared to Benzema’s spread of 22-25.

AC MILAN V INTER MILAN

Next, we head to the first of two semi-finals being played at the San Siro as AC Milan host Inter Milan in their first Champions League semi-final since 2007, the last time they went on to win the competition.

With semi-final first legs tending to be nervy affairs and both sides being historically known for their strong defences the Total Goals spread may be one to look out for in this tie and we are offering a spread of 2.2-2.4. The last meeting between the two sides ended with a 1-0 victory to Inter with Total Goal Minutes making up at just 34. This time round we are offering a spread of 113-123.

With this fixture also being one of the fiercest rivalries in European football there may be value in the Bookings market and we are offering a spread of 60-64 for this tie whilst our Multi-Bookings spread is 785-905.

WEST HAM V AZ ALKMAAR

On Thursday night, West Ham face AZ Alkmaar in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League as they look to go one step closer to winning their first trophy since 1980.

The Hammers will be looking for a convincing lead to take to Alkmaar next week and have won their last three home games in the competition by two or more goals scoring 11 goals in the process. You can get West Ham -1 at 31/20 whilst if you back the hosts with a -2 handicap we are offering odds of 4/1.

West Ham haven’t buckled under the pressure in their home knockout ties this season, scoring four goals in their last two home ties with West Ham Total Goal Minutes making up at 214 against Gent and 180 against AEK Larnaca. For Thursday’s tie with AZ Alkmaar, we are offering a spread of 91-99 on West Ham TGM’s and 43-46 on the minute of the 1st West Ham Goal.

CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY-OFFS

To round off the football action this week we take a look at the Championship play-offs which always provide plenty of high tension and drama.

This year Luton Town face Sunderland whilst Middlesbrough play Coventry City with all four teams looking to book a spot in the promised land of the Premier League.

Luton Town, who finished the season in third place, are second favourites for promotion priced at 12/5 and head into Saturday’s match with Sunderland in great form having not lost a game since February. Their opposition and our principal partners Sunderland also head into the game in great form having won four of their last six games but are the longest odds of all four for promotion priced at 9/2.

The shortest odds of all four for promotion are Middlesbrough, who face Coventry City, and are priced at 13/8 to return to the Premier League for the first time since the 2016/17 campaign. The Sky Blues are the third favourites priced at 15/4 to return to the topflight for the first time since 2001.
