Preview
Football dominates the major betting events of the week, but away from the European football previewed below, a first leg lead against Luton has Spreadex partner Sunderland 9/4 second favourites to win the Championship play-offs.
There is horse racing from the Knavesmire with the Dante Festival getting underway on Thursday, The IPL continues this week whilst we have already seen one massive shock in Rome when Carlos Alcaraz was dumped out, will there be another one?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the time to go into everything so read on below for our betting events of the week.
The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
FOOTBALL – INTER v MILAN
Having stormed to an early 2-0 lead, Inter will have perhaps been disappointed to not have added more to their tally ‘away from home’ last week against Milan, but even with a fit Rafael Leao, the Rossoneri have it all to do this week.
Stefano Pioli’s side are 11/1 to qualify for the final in Istanbul and they would need to perform the kind of heroics Liverpool managed back in 2005 if they were to make it to Turkey. In the match odds market, Inter are 23/20 favourites and we have goalscorer price boosts for you as well with Lautaro Martinez 31/20 to hit the back of the net and Olivier Giroud 5/2 to get himself on the scoresheet.
In the football spread betting markets our traders are expecting a feisty match with Bookings at 59-63 whilst with plenty of double-digit attackers likely to take to the field, the same 59-63 spread is offered on Shirt Numbers.

FOOTBALL – MANCHESTER CITY v REAL MADRID
Unless you support either of the Milan sides or you reminisce daily about James Richardson drinking tiny cups of coffee whilst reading a copy of Gazzetta, the main event this week takes place in east Manchester where Real Madrid are in town.
It is a tie that is finely poised, but City are odds on favourites on the night at 3/5, the draw is 7/2 and Carlo Ancelotti’s side – who despatched three English sides including City when winning the trophy last year – are 17/4 to win in 90 minutes.
There were just two goals last week, but we expect it to open up a little bit more tomorrow with the Total Goals spread at 3.05-3.25. Erling Haaland has been brilliant in his first season at City and his Player Goal Minutes spread is 43-47 whilst French poacher Karim Benzema has a spread of 18-21.
GOLF – PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
The second golf major of the year is upon us, and Scottie Scheffler is a clear 13/2 favourite to defend his crown this weekend with Jon Rahm at 15/2 the other player at a single figure price.
There are also plenty of golf spread betting markets for punters to study from Finishing Position in the field with McIlroy’s spread priced up at 26-29. We have a 50-30-20-10 index available on Top British and Irish, Top Euro, and Top Australasian which all provide angles if you want to play something other than the outright market.
Meanwhile after a strong showing from their ranks at The Masters, the Top LIV market will be an interesting one to watch over the four days.
FOOTBALL – AZ ALKMAAR v WEST HAM
West Ham travel to the land of Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten, Dennis Bergkamp, and Marco Boogers on Thursday as they look to land their first piece of silverware since the 1980s. A first leg success has put them in a good position and having made nine changes at the weekend, they will be confident they can get the job done on Thursday.
The Hammers are 17/10 to get the win and are 10/11 in the draw no bet market which could get plenty of support. AZ rarely threatened on their trip to the capital, but they are 31/20 to get the win with the draw backable at 12/5.
Finally, the Total Goals spread is 2.6-2.8, Goals Cubed is 42-49 and there is barely anything between them on the AZ/WHU Supremacy which is -0.1 - 0.1.
