The countdown to Christmas is well and truly on, and what could be more festive than Newcastle United playing Brentford in a League Cup quarter final? Ahead of the busy period between Christmas and New Year, we focus on the spread betting markets which will be taking plenty of bets this week.
The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
The pinnacle of the darting season has got underway and we have seen our first seed despatched already with James Wade making it successive second round exits at the PDC World Championship after he was beaten by Jermaine Wattimena yesterday.
A dominant performance from Gerwyn Price over Keane Barry saw the Welshman trimmed into 22/1 to win the tournament, but unsurprisingly, the two Lukes dominate our Darts World Championship betting.
Teen sensation Luke Littler is the 13/8 outright favourite, with namesake and defending champion Humphries 3/1. At 8/1 and 9/1 respectively, Gary Anderson and Michael Van Gerwen are the only other players at single figure prices.
Away from the match-by-match and outright betting markets, we have several tournament-long spread specials. At the time of writing, you can buy or sell Total Tournament 180s at 915-930 whilst 170 Checkouts Squared is 30-35.

For the first time since the 2009/10 season, the quarter finals of the League Cup are an all-Premier League affair, with Liverpool headlining our League Cup outright odds at 12/5.
Arne Slot’s side have been in impressive form this season, and they should have little trouble in negotiating an away quarter final at a managerless Southampton side. The Reds are 2/5 to advance in 90 minutes and you can get the same price on Arsenal beating capital rivals Crystal Palace.
Also odds on are Newcastle, who are 8/15 to beat Brentford at St James’ Park with the pick of the ties coming on Thursday as Tottenham take on Manchester United. Spurs have already beaten Manchester City in the competition, and they are 13/10 to beat Ruben Amorim’s side this week with an away with at 13/8.
As ever, we will have you covered with boosted bets across the four fixtures as well as a full range of football spread betting markets.
The annual Christmas Hamper spread betting market is ready to be traded, and you can buy or sell at 600-640.
For the uninitiated, this spread betting market is a Christmas tradition at Spreadex and is made up of 12 separate events stretching from Christmas Day through to New Year’s Day.
Starting with the temperature in London on Christmas Day multiplied by five (with a 100 point bonus if it snows in the capital!), Steve Smith’s 1st innings run total in the Boxing Day Test, the total number of Bull finishes in the darts on the 29th December and total number of steals in the Christmas Day baseball are also included.
