Bets of the Week 18.10.2022

In this feature Spreadex Sports look at five bets to look out for in the week ahead. This week, we will look at the latest football, cricket, and rugby league action.

Note – the below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

FOOTBALL

  1. We start off the standout midweek Premier League match as Man Utd host Spurs at Old Trafford. Cristiano Ronaldo has recently begun to get more game time and notched his 700th career goal against Everton recently. The Portuguese legend scored a hat trick in Utd's 3-2 victory over Spurs at Old Trafford last time, as well as netting in the 3-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last October. Ronaldo's spread betting Player Goal Minutes for the game are: 24 – 27 and at 17/4 to be first goalscorer on the fixed odds, and 5/4 to score at any time. He is also available at 28/1 to score another hat trick.

  1. In the London derby of midweek, Chelsea travel to Brentford looking to continue the bounce after new manager Graham Potter's appointment. The Blues have now won their last five in all competitions and are full of confidence. However, the Bees are also coming into this after an impressive win over Potter's former club Brighton at the weekend and produced a shocking 4-1 win over Chelsea last season. After already taking the scalp of Man Utd earlier this season, could Thomas Frank's side repeat that feat here? Brentford are available at 4/1 to grab a home win.

  1. With fixture congestion piling up, some rescheduled matches are taking place, with one of these being Arsenal's meeting with PSV in the Europa League Group Stage. Arsenal sit top of the Premier League while PSV are in second in Eredivisie, and this match may well decide who wins this group. Both sides have been in excellent scoring form all season, with PSV especially potent in this competition so far, scoring eleven goals in just three fixtures, while Arsenal have netted six times. Will this be a goal fest? We have Total Goals at 3.1 - 3.3 and Total Goal Minutes at 159 - 169 on the spreads, while on the fixed odds we have Over 3.5 goals at 5/4.

rugby league

  1. In the rugby league, it’s the World Cup this week. On Wednesday, the first of the Home Nations are in action as Wales take on the Cook Islands. Although the Welsh begin as underdogs, they are actually in slightly better form with three victories in their last five matches, while the Cook Islands have only won twice in their last five. The only previous meeting between the two ended in a 28 - 24 victory for the Cook Islands, and we have Cook Islands to Win by 1-5 on our Winning Margin markets at 9/1 here.

CRICKET

  1. This week sees several matches from the T20 World Cup, including Scotland v Ireland, Windies v Zimbabwe, Australia v New Zealand, India v Pakistan and England taking on Afghanistan. Who will be able to grab victories? Make sure to check out our pre-match and in-play markets! Ahead of England's match, we have the following indicative prices for England players: Buttler 47-51, Hales 32-36, Stokes 37-41 and Wood 31-35.
