A bumper week of action awaits this week and is headlined by the return of midweek European football as the Champions League returns, along with the Europa and Conference League. Away from football, there is midweek action from the Rugby World Cup, as well as tennis from the Far East as the ATP Tour returns to China after the Covid pandemic, and among the other sport, there is also cricket action for punters to enjoy.
As always, we highlight some of our traders' Bets of the Week!

FOOTBALL - EUROPEAN CLUB FOOTBALL RETURNS
The long-awaited return of the new season of elite European club competition happens tonight and the first matchday sees defending champions Man City look to kick off their defence of the trophy in style, as well as the long-awaited return of Newcastle after 20 long years.
An Alan Shearer & Bobby Robson inspired Toon took on Inter Milan in a memorable San Siro tie during the group stages of their last European adventure, and this time around return to the same ground to face AC - in what will also double as the return of the Italian side's former midfielder Sandro Tonali, who was Newcastle's big summer signing.
Tonali is available at 16/1 to score first against his former side, or 6/1 to score anytime. In our #NAMEIT Player Markets, you can also back Tonali to be carded first and Under 6.5 match goals at 15/2!
Man City are also in action on opening night and host Serbian side Crvena Zvezda (Red Star), and it looks to be a tall order for the visitors to resist Pep Guardiola's attacking machine. In fact, City have scored 17 unanswered goals in UCL home games! We have several Price Boosts available ahead of the match, including star man Erling Haaland to score a hat trick BOOSTED from 7/2 to 17/4.
Wednesday sees the other two Premier League sides in action as Arsenal take on PSV at the Emirates and Man Utd face a daunting trip to Harry Kane's Bayern Munich. We have also BOOSTED Kane to score anytime from 3/4 to 17/20!
In the Europa and Conference Leagues, English club involvement includes Liverpool taking on LASK, Brighton facing AEK Athens, West Ham taking on Backa Topola and Aston Villa facing Legia Warsaw. You can back all of the English sides to win their opening matches in an accumulator at odds of 72/1 with our ACCA BOOST promotion!

RUGBY UNION - MIDWEEK rugby WORLD CUP ACTION
The Rugby World Cup action continues this week with several midweek matches ahead of the weekend. Perhaps the standout match of these will be hosts France taking on Namibia on Thursday in what is likely to be a blowout victory for the French.
Namibia have conceded a whopping 123 points in two matches in comparison to just 11 points scored, so punters may be interested in the winning margin spread markets.
Incidentally, France took on Namibia in the last World Cup at home in 2007, and won 87-10. Our Point Supremacy spread currently stands at 64 - 68 points. Would you buy or sell?
In the other matches during the week, Italy take on Uruguay and Argentina face Samoa. You can view all of our latest prices by clicking below.
TENNIS - ATP TOUR RETURNS TO CHINA + laver cup
After a very busy few weeks on the tennis tour with the US Open and Davis Cup, the tour now transitions for a Far East swing and specifically a return to China after an absence mainly due to the restrictions around the Covid pandemic.
However, the countdown now starts to the next Masters Event in Shanghai at the start of October and there are two warm-up tournaments this week in Chengdu and Zhuhai, with the likes of Andy Murray in action.
The hugely popular Laver Cup team event also takes place later this week as Team Europe take on Team World. The event last year was where the legendary Roger Federer said goodbye to tennis, but this years iteration promises to see more exciting and dramatic action as some of the world's top players do battle, with the addition of young up-and-comers like the USA's Ben Shelton.

CRICKET - ENGLAND V IRELAND 1ST ODI
England head into this ODI series full of confidence after completing a 3-1 series win over New Zealand but with a World Cup on the horizon this will see almost an entirely different group of players in action as the action begins at Headingley on Wednesday.
Ireland, meanwhile, are not involved in the 2023 World Cup after crashing out of the qualifying event in June and July - they lost three of their four group matches to miss out on the Super Six stage. In total, they have won just four ODIs from 15 in 2023.
England lead the head-to-head record 10-2 heading into this series, although Ireland did win the most recent meeting between the two sides. England do begin as heavy favourites ahead of this one though and are available at a fixed odds price of 1/9 and a spread of 84.6 - 90. Will they justify those odds or can Ireland produce a shock?
