Bets Of The Week

In this feature, Spreadex Sports look at five bets/markets to look out for in the week ahead. This week, we will look at some of the best EFL Cup, Cricket, and Darts bets and prices*!

*the below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

FOOTBALL – EFL CUP

  1. The EFL cup has reached its latter stages with only 16 teams left all looking to book their spot in the quarter-finals with many strong sides exiting the tournament last time out. The lowest-ranked side left in the tournament is Gillingham who currently sit bottom of League 2 and travel to Molineux to face Wolves. With Gillingham only scoring six goals in the league all season and Wolves being the heavy favourites, Wolves -1 – 40/85, Wolves -2 – 6/5 and Wolves To Win To Nil – 4/7 could be good value!

  1. On Wednesday night Man United host Burnley with ex-Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany making his first visit to Old Trafford since becoming a manager. With only 20 miles separating the two sides and the added spice of a returning Vincent Kompany, Multi-Bookings, Cross-Bookings and Goals X Corners X Bookings could be markets to keep an eye on.

  1. To round off the round of 16 Manchester City host current holders Liverpool in the game of the round at the Etihad Stadium. This fixture is renowned for its high-scoring games with seven of the last meetings between the two sides featuring four or more goals. For this tie, we are offering a spread on Total Goals of 3-3.2 and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 154-164.

CRICKET – BIG BASH

  1. The Australian Big Bash got back underway in dramatic fashion last week with the opening game being decided on the final ball before Sydney Thunder got bowled out for a record-low score of just 15 runs on Friday. We are offering 9/2 on current holders Perth Scorchers to retain their title while Sydney Sixers, the winners of the two years prior to Perth are priced at 8/1 to make it three wins in four years.

DARTS – PDC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

  1. It’s that time of the year again with the PDC World Championships returning to the infamous Alexandra Palace with 96 darts players looking to bring home the Sid Waddell Trophy and a share of the £2,500,000 prize pot! Tournament favourite Michael Van Gerwen is priced at 13/5 to win the whole thing while last year's winner Peter Wright is priced at a handsome 11/1. We will also be offering markets on daily specials including Highest Checkout and Total 180s.
