Online betting punters have plenty to enjoy this week as we gear up for a superb weekend of sport. With Davis Cup action, Players Championship darts, top class racing, the return of domestic football and some international cricket our traders give you the runners and riders in this week’s betting preview.
The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
FOOTBALL – MANCHESTER CITY v LIVERPOOL
In recent years there has been one match in England that has transfixed fans and football betting punters alike and the next instalment of this recent rivalry takes place on Saturday lunchtime as Liverpool travel to Manchester City.
Just one point separates the sides ahead of the weekend, but City find themselves odds-on favourites at 7/10 in our football odds with a Liverpool win and the draw both priced at 17/5.
The sequence 4, 2, 5, 4, 4, 5, 4, 1, 5, 5 may well seem random, but it is the number of goals scored in each meeting of these sides since 2020 and you can buy or sell Total Goals this weekend at 3.2-3.4 with Total Goal Minutes at 159-174.
Elsewhere, 4/11 favourites Leeds United look to keep their promotion push rolling in Friday’s televised Championship match with Rotherham, whilst there are rivalries renewed north of the border as Ranges travel to Aberdeen on Sunday lunchtime.
Whoever your team is and whatever your chosen football betting angle, we have you covered at Spreadex with our wide range of odds and football spread betting markets. You can also take advantage of our acca boost offer if you fancy putting a coupon together for the weekend’s action.

DARTS – PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
The action comes thick and fast for darts betting punters as the PDC rolls into Butlin’s this weekend for the Players Championship Finals. Fresh off World Grand Slam success in Wolverhampton, this year’s break-out star ‘Cool Hand’ Luke Humphries is the 15/4 favourite to win this year’s event with Gerwyn Price at 9/2 and seven-time champion Michael Van Gerwen 13/2 to get the win.
World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall will not be making the trip to the South West coast, but Masters winner Chris Dobey is 28/1 to triumph in our darts odds whilst Rob Cross was a defeated finalist last year here and you can get 12/1 about Voltage taking the £120,000 winner’s prize home.
We have all of Friday’s matches priced up already with plenty of darts spread betting options to enjoy as well. You can follow all of the mayhem from Minehead on ITV this weekend.
HORSE RACING – BETFAIR CHASE
Haydock stages it’s premier event of the National Hunt season and at the time of writing, there are six horses in our antepost horse racing odds for this Grade 1 contest.
Protektorat and Bravemansgame are the market principals, and our horse racing betting traders are unable to split them with the pair priced at 5/4. Shishkin follows in the betting at 5/1, but there has to be some caution for anyone backing him with Nicky Henderson keeping plenty of options up his sleeve.
After those three comes Royale Pagaille. The hardy campaigner was second in this race back in 2021 albeit a long way behind eventual winner A Plus Tard, but the nine-year-old will appreciate the cut in the ground at Haydock and at 7/1 will certainly have his backers. Connections of the Lucinda Russell-trained Corach Rambler will be hoping to add Grade 1 glory to a Grand National success at 8/1 with Old Roan second Minella Drama the 40/1 outsider.
Ahead of Saturday’s action, there is plenty of midweek racing to enjoy from Fontwell to Ffos Las and Warwick to Wincanton, you can also stream every race on the Spreadex site with our wide range of horse racing odds and horse racing spread betting markets available.
CRICKET – INDIA v AUSTRALIA T20
The dust may well have only just settled on Australia’s ODI World Cup win, but cricket spread betting punters have an intriguing T20 clash between the two to assess on Thursday. Our cricket betting traders have India as marginal favourites for this clash at 5/6, with the Aussies 19/20 to kick off the five-match series with a win.
Supremacy sellers were in the money to the tune of 81x their stake on Sunday when these two met with Australia’s six-wicket victory seeing the spread settle at -60 against an opening line of 21-31. For those indulging in a spot of cricket spread betting ahead of this one, our current Supremacy spread is -2 – 6 with all of the action from Visakhapatnam live on TNT Sports from 13:30.
TENNIS – DAVIS CUP
The Final Eight of the Davis Cup gets underway this week in Spain and Britain have a tough quarter final clash against Serbia who boast ATP Finals winner Novak Djokovic in their outfit. The Serbian sensation has said how important victory would be for his country and they are 15/8 favourites to land the title.
The Serbs are 8/15 to beat Great Britain on Thursday afternoon with GB likely to name a five-man squad of Lliam Broady, Jack Draper, Cameron Norrie, Neal Skupski, and Joe Salisbury. Andy Murray and team lynchpin Dan Evans both miss out through injury with the British quintet 11/8 in our tennis betting odds to upset the Serbian team in Malaga.
Aside from that clash, Australia at 4/11 in the tennis betting are likely to get the better of the Czechs whilst Italy – boasting an in-form Jannik Sinner – are 8/13 to get the better of the Netherlands.
We will have plenty of markets covered across both our fixed odds and tennis spread betting markets as the action unfolds in Andalusia.
