There are a number of crucial matches in the Premier League and Championship for online betting punters to enjoy, whilst our traders have picked out the snooker and an IPL match that has the potential to go nuclear as events to focus on in this week’s betting preview.
The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
With the end of the season rapidly approaching in the Premier League and Championship, there are a couple of vital midweek matches that could have an impact at both ends of the table. Arsenal – currently 29/10 in our Premier League winner odds – have a home clash with London rivals Chelsea who pumped Everton 6-0 in their last league outing.
Coincidentally, all three title chasing sides are 2/5 to win their matches this week, with Liverpool heading across Stanley Park for a match with Everton tomorrow and Manchester City travelling to the south coast to play Brighton on Thursday.
The treble will no doubt be a popular bet and using our acca boost feature you can get an enhanced price of 1.83/1 from 1.74/1 on the top three all winning this week. Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, Manchester United are 2/7 to put another nail in Sheffield United’s coffin, with the Supremacy spread 1.65-1.85 in the Red Devils’ favour.
Finally, in the Championship, Leicester face a tough test this evening when they welcome Southampton to the King Power Stadium. Enzo Maresca’s Foxes have been stuttering of late, but the title remains very much in their hands with City 3/10 to lift the title in our Championship winner odds. They were perhaps fortunate to beat West Bromwich Albion at the weekend and they are a shade above even money at 21/20 to record back-to-back home victories.

With three of the top ten seeds already crashing out of the World Championship there have certainly been some snooker betting shocks already. Luca Brecel’s title defence fell at the first hurdle after he was beaten 10-9 by David Gilbert, Mark Selby was knocked out by debutant Joe O’Connor and Ali Carter was beaten 10-7 by 28th seed Stephen Maguire.
In our Snooker World Championship betting, Ronnie O’Sullivan heads the market at 11/5 after a superb 2023/24 season so far, with Judd Trump available to back at 14/5. After victories in the Shoot Out and Players Championship this season, Mark Allen is the only other player at a single figure price, with the man from Antrim 15/2 to land what would be a maiden world title.
There are plenty of matches in progress already, but O’Sullivan gets his campaign underway tomorrow afternoon against Jackson Page where he is 1/7 to progress whilst in our snooker spread betting 10/3 Supremacy market (ten points for the match win, three points for every frame won by) Judd Trump is favoured at 17.75-20.75 to beat Tom Ford.
In addition to our match odds and snooker spread betting markets, we will have a number of outright selections live during the next two weeks as the best in the world go head to head.
From the gentle buzz of the Crucible, we turn our attention to the booming IPL which will see Rajasthan Royals top the table after eight rounds of action. Chennai Super Kings are in action against Lucknow Super Giants this afternoon, whilst the game of the week could be between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday.
Sunrisers have hit three of the four highest scores in T20 history this season, including a whopping 287/3 in their last clash with Bengaluru (a match which saw cricket spread betting market Sixes Squared settle at a huge 1444).
Indian legend and RCB vice-captain Virat Kohli leads the IPL for runs scored having plundered 379 so far, whilst Hyderabad hitter Travis Head follows in second on 324 from two fewer innings than Kohli. With plenty of pyrotechnic power likely to be on display at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium Sunrisers are 8/11 to record a sixth victory of the season, whilst bottom placed RCB are 10/11.
As mentioned, the crowd could be ducking for cover throughout the match and there will no doubt be plenty of interest in our Total Sixes cricket spread betting market as well as Player Performance and Total Runs spreads. The action in Hyderabad gets underway on Sky Sports Cricket on Thursday at 3pm.
