Spring is traditionally a time to take stock of things and after a pause for the international break, the domestic football season enters the crunch phase. Amongst the online betting highlights this week are the FA Cup quarter finals with a full slate of EFL fixtures and tennis odds from the Miami Open also previewed below.
The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
After the international break comes the FA Cup and Manchester City are the 2/1 favourites in our FA Cup odds. The oldest national football competition in the world may have diminished in stance lately, but it is the only realistic chance at silverware that City have left this season. Pep Guardiola’s side are 8/11 to qualify from their tie away at Bournemouth, with the Cherries 11/10 to progress on Sunday.
Courtesy of landing Preston, Aston Villa are the 4/1 second favourites and Unai Emery’s side should despatch the Lancastrians (125/1) who first won this trophy way back in 1889.
Nottingham Forest (11/1) will be without Chris Wood for their trip to Brighton (5/1) on Saturday with the hosts 0.6-0.8 favourites on our Supremacy football spread betting market.
Finally, the weekend kicks off with a London derby as Fulham (8/1) host Crystal Palace (11/1). The last two meetings between the sides have been won 2-0 by the away side, with Palace victorious last month. Another 2-0 win to send the Eagles soaring into the semis can be backed at 10/1.

With eight games left to go in the EFL season, there is plenty to play for with a three way title challenge in the Championship. Leeds – 3/10 in our Championship outright odds – host Swansea City this weekend after a run of four matches that saw them collect just five points. They are level on 80 points with Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United (7/2) and two points ahead of a Burnley side (13/2) who host Bristol City this weekend.
Coventry City (or Frank Lampard’s Coventry City as they now seem to be known) are now 4/9 to make the top six and are 11/2 in our Championship promotion odds. With their next two matches against Sheffield United and Burnley respectively, they could have a big say on who lifts the second-tier title.
Reading hold the EFL points total record having claimed 106 back in the 2005/2006 Championship season, but the Royals’ record could be under threat. Birmingham City – runaway leaders in League 1 – have been very impressive this term and their points total is available to buy or sell at 103.5-105.
In the bottom tier, Walsall went as short as 2/15 in our League Two outright odds, but the Saddlers have a race on their hands now with Bradford looming large. Our current prices have the Bantams at 5/2 to lift the title, with Walsall now out to 8/11. Amongst the most intriguing matches of the weekend is Colchester’s clash with Grimsby on Friday night. The two are locked in a play-off race which sees United at 19/20 and Grimsby at 5/4 to make the top seven. Friday’s result at the JobServe Community Stadium will have a big bearing on that market.
Last year was the first since 2017 in which Novak Djokovic failed to win an ATP Masters title, but the Serb is our 3/1 Miami Open betting favourite as we enter the second week of the event. Defending champion Jannik Sinner is absent due to his doping suspension and with Carlos Alcaraz suffering a shock first round defeat to David Goffin, the tournament is wide open.
Alexander Zverev is the second favourite at 15/4 while Alex De Minaur certainly deserves respect at 9/1 after he knocked out the highly rated Brazilian prospect Joao Fonseca in the round of 32.
The women’s side of the draw is headed by two Eastern Europeans, with Warsaw’s Iga Swiatek in pole position in the betting at 13/10. Aryna Sabalenka is a few ticks bigger at 6/4 and the big-serving Belarussian will be looking to bounce back from defeat in the final at Indian Wells.
The action unfolds all week on Sky Sports tennis and we will have a full range of tennis spread betting markets alongside plenty of fixed odds betting options.
