Easter weekend is one of the highlights of the year and with most of the country enjoying a four-day weekend there is a sporting bonanza on the horizon. Before that starts, we take you through the betting for some of the events and matches taking place this week.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

FOOTBALL – INTERNATIONAL MATCHES

The most meaningful match for online betting punters to engage with amongst the home nations comes from Cardiff where Wales will be looking to end a run of six straight defeats against Poland.

Rob Page’s side were impressive when beating Finland 4-1 last week and they are 4/5 to make it to the big dance in Germany with the visitors priced at even money. In the match odds market a home win in 90 minutes can be backed at 13/8 whilst Robert Lewandowski will be the major dangerman for the Poles and the Barcelona frontman has been boosted from 13/8 to 19/10 to hit the back of the net this evening.

Meanwhile, down the M4, England are 3/4 to bounce back with a win when they face Belgium at Wembley. Gareth Southgate has a bit of a selection headache with plenty of experienced players unavailable including Harry Maguire, Kyle Walker, and Harry Kane. Brentford hitman Ivan Toney looks set to lead the line tonight in an audition for a spot in the finals and he is 7/5 from 6/5 to score this evening.

Finally, Scotland play host to Northern Ireland and in our football spread betting markets you can buy or sell Total Goals at 2.25-2.45 whilst the bookings line for a feisty derby match is 30-34.

FOOTBALL  – CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE RACE

Ok we know that there might be a major match in the Premier League title race on Sunday, but before Manchester City and Arsenal come face-to-face, there will have been another round of fixtures in the Championship. As proud supporters of the second tier, two of our sides are in televised action on Good Friday in matches that could have title race ramifications.

Leicester City, having seen their 17 point lead over Leeds United overhauled will have an immediate chance to retake the summit when they face Bristol City in the lunchtime kick off. At 17:30, our partner club Blackburn will have their work cut out against Ipswich Town with the Tractor Boys beginning to motor as we turn for home. Ipswich are a shade of odds-on to win the clash at 19/20 whilst our football spread betting Total Goals Minute market is 146-156.

In the 20:00 kick-off another one of our affiliated sides is at home when Watford welcome Leeds United to Vicarage Road. United have won 12 of their last 13 matches, beat Watford 3-0 earlier in the season and have a near fully fit squad to pick from which goes some way to explaining why they are just 4/7 to get the win in Hertfordshire.

There will be plenty of twists and turns yet, but in our current Championship Winner odds, Leicester are 8/13, Leeds 17/10, Ipswich 10/1 and Southampton a 25/1 longshot (though they have two games in hand on Leeds and Ipswich.

RUGBY LEAGUE – RIVALS ROUND

Easter weekend is always one of the highlights of the Super League season and the action gets underway on Thursday evening where Leeds travel to Castleford off the back of two straight defeats against St Helens. Rhinos will fancy their chances of a result at Wheldon Road given Cas’ struggles and another club doing it tough at the moment are Hull FC.

The Black and Whites travel east to face bitter rivals Hull KR and it could be a long afternoon for the Airlie Birds. Rounding off the action on Friday is the eye watering proposition of St Helens against Wigan. One of the showpiece events in the season, the Totally Wicked Stadium will be sold out for the first against second clash. Warrington will welcome Catalans Dragons to Cheshire on Saturday whilst there are just 11 miles between Salford and Leigh’s two grounds with the pair battling it out on Saturday evening.

The weekend is rounded off by Huddersfield’s trip to London Broncos on Easter Sunday and Ian Watson will be hoping his side can rose once again having scored 128 points across their last four matches. With so much action, we will have plenty of rugby league betting options including some special bets and spreads for the full weekend.

CRICKET – INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

Cricket spread betting punters will have their eyes glued to Sky Sports Cricket over the next few months as the nascent IPL season continues apace with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings leading the way in our IPL outright betting, each at 7/2.

No one has more Englishmen in their squad than Punjab Kings who can call on the talents of Jonny Bairstow, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, and Liam Livingstone, but there are plenty of English players scattered across the competition. Tom Curran, Will Jacks and Reece Topley will play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru with Lucknow Giants and Rajasthan Royals also seeing English interest.

As well as our range of match markets, we have player performance spreads for the season in addition to tournament wide spreads. You can trade Total Sixes across the tournament at 1100-1170 (currently 106 from six matches), would you be a buyer or seller?
