With May rapidly approaching it seems unusual to be focussing on jumps racing, but the Punchestown Festival is one of the major online betting events this week alongside the Champions League semi-finals and the Snooker World Championship.
The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
For horse racing betting punters, the main draw this week undoubtedly comes from across the Irish Sea with five days of top-quality action from Punchestown. With over ten Grade 1 races running culminating on Saturday, there is something for everyone in County Kildare this week.
You can watch every race from the festival thanks to our live streaming and in unsurprising news, Willie Mullins’ horses will be attracting plenty of attention this week. The king of Closutton has a 43% strike rate at the course this season saddling 29 winners from 68 runners, whilst there is also an intriguing battle in the Irish Champion Jockey standings.
Ahead of a crucial week, Jack Kennedy stands on 122 winners for the season so far, whilst lurking seven wins behind is Paul Townend who has won the title in each of the last five years.
Whilst national hunt superstars will be leaping around Punchestown, this weekend is also a key date for flat racing fans with the Guineas weekend taking place at Newmarket. In our antepost betting, City Of Troy is a huge 8/13 favourite for Aiden O’Brien in the 2000 Guineas whilst 5/2 shot Fallen Angel heads the betting in the 1000 Guineas from 7/2 poke Ylang Ylang.

Two European heavyweights meet tonight in Germany with Bayern Munich 5/4 favourites to beat Real Madrid in front of an expectant home crowd. The Bavarian giants were a long way second to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, but they have the chance to restore some pride in Europe and these nights are exactly the reason why Harry Kane made the switch from Spurs.
The England captain has been boosted from 21/20 to 6/5 to hit the back of the net tonight, whilst French card machine Aurelien Tchouameni is 23/10 from 19/10 to be shown a card this evening.
In the other semi-final, PSG are narrow favourites to secure an opening leg win away at Dortmund with the French outfit priced at 29/20 in our 1X2 market.
After an abject quarter-final round, there is still English interest in Europe as Aston Villa look to continue the recent English success in the Europa Conference League in their clash with Olympiakos. The Villains should have too much for their Greek opponents and it is little surprise to see them installed as 4/9 favourites whilst on our football spread betting markets, they are 1.2-1.4 favourites on the Supremacy.
The action doesn’t stop for snooker spread betting punters who will have been thrilled by the action from the Crucible over the last week and there is more to come today. After despatching third favourite Mark Allen last night, John Higgins is back in action this afternoon against Kyren Wilson with both players priced at 9/10 to advance through to the semi-finals.
In the other match beginning this afternoon, Stuart Bingham will have his work cut out as he faces Ronnie O’Sullivan with the Rocket still chasing that elusive eighth title. Bingham is the 5/1 outsider for that clash with O’Sullivan a strong 1/8 favourite.
Ronnie also heads the betting in our World Championship outright odds at a price of 6/5 with Judd Trump – who publicly turned down advances from a rival tour this week – priced at 9/4 (at the time of writing Trump was 1-1 with Jak Jones in his quarter final).
We will have all of the action covered with plenty of fixed odds markets as well as snooker spread betting markets for the matches and for the tournament as the week builds to the final on Bank Holiday Monday.
