RACING – GALWAY AND GOODWOOD

There is elite horse racing betting action from both sides of the Irish Sea this week with the Goodwood and Galway Festivals taking place this week.

The flat action at Goodwood sees a host of racing stars go for glory on the Sussex Downs with plenty of Group races throughout the week. As ever, we anticipate plenty of action on our Lengthen Your Odds product with a couple of hot favourites on show on the south coast.

The action in Galway takes place over obstacles, and with the meet being in the evening all week, it gives horse racing betting punters to enjoy the best of both worlds. With racing taking place in Galway until Sunday, the Irish city will be in party mode all week, with a couple of Graded races to celebrate as well. OLYMPICS BETTING

One of the greatest sporting events is upon us and at Spreadex we have a whole host of Olympics betting options from athletics to handball as Paris 2024 really kicks into gear this week.

At the time of writing, Team GB have secured two gold medals thanks to a stunning comeback from Tom Pidcock in the mountain biking and a team gold in the equestrian. There should still be plenty of opportunity to add to that tally, with GB an odds-on shot in a couple of events.

In rowing, the women’s quadruple sculls are 3/10 to secure GB’s first gold medal in the event’s history, golden girl Keeley Hodgkinson is 2/7 to take the title in the 800m, and should the event ever get the green light, Alex Yee is a 5/4 shot to get gold in the men’s triathlon.

FOOTBALL – SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

As we tick into August, the domestic football season returns, and the Scottish Premiership gets underway this weekend with Rangers travelling to Edinburgh to play Hearts in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.

After landing another title last season, Celtic are 2/5 to land another title and the Hoops will likely be included in a lot of antepost season multiples. Rangers meanwhile are 15/8 with Hearts the next in the betting at a whopping 80/1.

As ever, we have a full range of season points spreads available with Celtic’s points available to buy or sell at 87-89 (they got 93 last season) and the Gers 84-86.

At the other end of the table, Highland sides Ross County and St Johnstone look set to prop up the table, with the former’s points spread 37.5-3.95 whilst the latter’s is 35-37.

Finally, we have a couple of special bets, with Celtic 8/1 to win a domestic treble and their cross-city rivals Rangers 25/1 to achieve the same feat.
