BETS OF THE WEEK

There is plenty of sporting action to enjoy this week and as ever the wide range of online betting options at Spreadex will have you covered. Whether you like bet builders, in-play betting, or our cricket spread betting markets, there are lots of angles for punters to side with.

The pick of the events come from the Cricket World Cup, domestic football and the Paris Masters.

The below prices are indicative and may be subject to fluctuation

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

CRICKET WORLD CUP

For cricket betting punters, the Cricket World Cup continues to draw the eye and though England have defied their pre-tournament Cricket World Cup odds in the worst possible way, they will have to get up for a clash with Australia on Saturday.

The Aussies have turned their campaign around and are 1/2 favourites for the clash with England at 8/5. Before then, there is an interesting cricket betting heat when 4/6 favourites South Africa take on 6/5 shots New Zealand tomorrow. Unbeaten India are 1/7 to despatch Sri Lanka on Thursday whilst Afghanistan are 3/10 to beat the Netherlands on Friday and keep an unlikely semi-final push alive.

LEAGUE CUP

For football spread betting punters, the main action of the week comes on Wednesday with four all-Premier League ties taking place in the last 16 of the League Cup.

In our League Cup winner odds, Liverpool are currently 14/5 favourites, with Chelsea at 15/4, Arsenal at 4/1 and defending champions Manchester United at 9/2. The Red Devils face Newcastle at Old Trafford in a repeat of last year’s final and we have some bet boosts for the big match.

Danish sensation Rasmus Hojlund has had a patchy start to life on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal, but the youngster is 2/1 from 7/4 to score anytime whilst a home win with both sides scoring was 3/1 but has been pushed out to 18/5.

You can view all of our League Cup odds and betting offers for all eight matches, with the action starting this evening as Middlesbrough make the long trip south to Exeter and Mansfield host Port Vale.

LEICESTER CITY v LEEDS UNITED

If the League Cup action is the main course, the Championship throws up a nice dessert for football spread betting punters on Friday as unbeaten Leicester City host Leeds United in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The Foxes are as short as 1/3 in our Championship winner odds whilst they are 1/14 to make a return to the top flight in our Championship promotion odds. Leeds had a rocky start to the season, but spurred on by attacking talents Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville they now find themselves third in the league, albeit 14 points behind high-flying Leicester.

The West Yorkshire side are 5/2 outsiders in this clash whilst we go even money in our Championship betting on a home win with the draw priced at 27/10. Five of Leeds’ last seven league games have seen three or more league goals scored and our football spread betting traders have priced up the Total Goals spread at 2.8-3 whilst Total Goal Minutes can be bought or sold at 142-152.

PARIS MASTERS

In terms of tennis betting, the Paris Masters features the pick of the action as 56 players look to land the near €900,000 prize money for finishing first. Holger Rune defends his title and he is 1/2 to overcome the big serving Austrian Dominic Thiem in his first match.

Carlos Alcaraz was knocked out by Rune in the quarter finals last year, but the Spaniard needs to reach the final to have a chance of reclaiming the world number one spot. The man from Murcia is 1/7 to get past Romain Saifulin and is second favourite in the Paris Masters outright betting behind the age-defying Novak Djokovic. Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner are also given a chance in our tennis betting markets for the event.
