Championship Gameweek 36 betting preview

Burnley v Wigan

Remember remember the 5th November? That’s way back when the high-flying Clarets last lost a league game and since then they’ve been beaten just once in 21 with that reverse away at Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

Vincent Kompany’s side sit 10 points clear at the top of the table on 77 points with 11 games to go. So what are the odds on Burnley getting more than 100 points in the Championship this season?

Well Spreadex Sports’ Season Points spread betting prediction has the Turf Moor side getting between 97 – 98.5 points. So a buy at 98.5 would return a small profit given a 100 point or higher haul.

As for Saturday, Burnley fans will be expecting their side to continue their soar towards the Premier League with a home victory against basement club Wigan, who have won just once in their last 16.

Spreadex Sports has Vincent Kompany’s men at 1.4 – 1.6 on the football spread betting Goal Supremacy and 1/3 for the win on the fixed odds. The draw is 4/1 and the Latics 9/1.

Burnley Total Goal Minutes made up at 130 in the 4-0 win over Huddersfield in the Clarets’ last home game. We have Burnley TGMs at 99 – 109 for this one.

West Brom v Huddersfield

This week two of Spreadex Sports’ partner clubs go head-to-head and the first of these clashes sees West Brom and Huddersfield meet at the Hawthorns on Saturday with the sides needing the points for very different reasons.

After their hot streak of 10 wins from 12 shortly after Carlos Corberan took over from Steve Bruce, the Baggies have cooled somewhat since with five defeats in their last nine and just three wins during that period leaving them four points off the play-off positions.

Huddersfield, now under the stewardship of 74-year-old Neil Warnock who replaced the departed Mark Fotheringham, sit joint bottom of the table currently six points from safety.

So what are the odds on Warnock being able to keep Huddersfield in the Championship this season?

The Spreadex Sports Season Points predictions have the Terriers ending on 42.5 – 44 which would be the lowest haul from all the clubs so the omens do not look good.

For the weekend’s game, West Brom are 1.2 – 1.4 Goal Supremacy favourites on our football spread betting prices while the hosts are 2/5 for the win on the fixed odds, the draw 18/5 and Huddersfield 7/1.

Huddersfield have failed to score in five of their last six matches and have lost two of their last three 4-0. West Brom to win to nil is 11/10 while the Baggies to beat the Terriers 4-0 is 14/1.

Norwich v Sunderland

The second of the Spreadex partner club clashes sees in-form Norwich host out-of-sorts Sunderland in Sunday’s midday TV game.

Norwich, under recently-appointed David Wagner, have taken 13 points from their last five games pushing them up into the play-offs while the Black Cats have taken just one point from their last four matches and fallen out of the top six, all the way down to 11th.

What are the odds on Sunderland getting to the play-offs and what are the odds on Norwich making the play-offs?

Spreadex Sports’ Top 6 Finish fixed odds betting prices have Norwich now as short as 4/7 while Sunderland have drifted way out to 11/1. The Season Points predictions have the Canaries ending on 72 – 73.5 (meaning our traders think they will finish fifth) while Sunderland are estimated to end on 63 – 64.5 (meaning our traders think they will finish 11th).

As for Sunday, Spreadex Sports have the hosts at 87/100, the draw 27/10 and Sunderland 16/5. Our traders have also boosted Teemu Puki to score anytime from 23/20 to 13/10, Amad Diallo to score anytime from 29/10 to 18/5 and Both Teams To Score and Norwich to Win from 11/4 to 10/3.

Gabriel Sara has netted three times in the last five Canaries games and his Player Goal Minutes are 10 – 13 while his Super Mega Minutes (minutes of any second goal doubled and any third goal tripled) are 14 – 18.
