Huddersfield v Rotherham - Thursday 7:45pm

The come-from-behind 2-1 win at Preston on Boxing Day couldn’t haul the Terriers off the bottom of the Championship, but it would still have been a huge confidence boost for some big matches ahead.

One of those that Huddersfield fans will feel is winnable is this clash with a Rotherham side that have won just one of their last 10 games.

Spreadex has Huddersfield at 11/10 for the win, Rotherham 11/4 and the draw 23/10. Two of the last three clashes between the sides at the John Smith’s Stadium have ended 2-1 to the hosts, which is a 15/2 shot on our fixed odds.

Wigan v Sunderland - thursday 7:45pm

The Black Cats’ 2-1 Boxing Day win over Blackburn came in-front of a bumper crowd of 43,921 and Sunderland fans are sure to be travelling in numbers again for the trip to Wigan.

With Ross Stewart and Ellis Simms both back and scoring, Tony Mowbray will be hopeful his team can kick on against a Wigan side with just one win in their last 11 matches.

Sunderland’s last two visits to the DW Stadium ended in 3-0 and 2-0 victories, and Spreadex has Sunderland at 8/5 for the win or 3/1 to win to nil. If you fancy goals, on the spreads we have Sunderland Total Goal Minutes at 58 – 66 while Stewart Goal Minutes are 14 – 17 and Simms Goal Minutes 15 – 18.

West Brom v Preston - Thursday 8pm

The in-form Baggies recovered from their blip at Coventry before Christmas to beat Bristol City 2-0 away on Boxing Day and make it six wins from their last seven.

New boss Carlos Corberan has certainly made an impact since taking over from Steve Bruce in October and West Brom fans will be full of expectation for the visit of Preston, who went down 2-1 to Huddersfield three days ago.

Spreadex has West Brom at 3/4 for the win, Preston 4/1 and the draw 13/5. Clean sheets have been an important factor in the upturn with the Baggies recording five shut outs in their last 7 matches and the hosts to win to nil is 13/8 while West Brom to keep a clean sheet is 11/10.

Norwich v Reading - Friday 7:45PM

Reading have won just one of the last nine meetings between the sides and Norwich fans will hope that stat doesn’t improve after Friday’s clash at Carrow Road.

With Dean Smith and Craig Shakespeare having departed the club on Tuesday after a poor recent run of results, the Canaries will be looking for the proverbial ‘new manager bounce’ after Steve Weaver and Allan Russell took over in temporary charge.

Spreadex has Norwich at 7/10 for the win, Reading 17/4 and the draw 11/4. On the spreads, our Goal Supremacy price has Norwich as reasonably strong 0.7 – 0.9 favourites while the Total Goals spread is a conservative 2.5 – 2.7.

Stoke v Burnley - Friday 7:45PM

Table-topping Burnley travel to Stoke as 5/4 favourites for the win amid a run that has seen Vincent Kompany’s side win eight of their last nine league games.

There have been plenty of goals along the way on that run too – 24 in total and plenty of late goals to boot. For those that fancy more Clarets goals, Burnley Total Goal Minutes are 67 – 75 and Burnley Goal Rush 14 – 17 (O Burnley goal = 0 points, 1 goal = 10, 2 goals = 20, 3 goals = 33, 4 goals = 50, 5 goals = 70, 6 or more = 100).

Stoke meanwhile have been inconsistent at best lately but have only lost one of their last five and are 9/4 for the win, while the draw is 12/5.
