Championship Matchweek 29 Betting Preview - Spreadex Clubs

WEST BROM v coventry - FRIDAY 8PM
Friday sees the first Championship encounter in this matchweek as the Baggies host Coventry at the Hawthorns, and they will be looking to get back to winning ways after their long unbeaten run was snapped by Burnley last time out and was followed by an FA Cup exit. Still just two points from the play-off positions and four off third place, a win here could be vital.
Coventry have been somewhat of the opposite, going on a long run without a win which was ended last time out as they beat Huddersfield. The head to head stats also suggest a tight game is to be expected between these sides. The last five meetings have seen two draws, two wins for WBA and a win for Coventry - albeit that was the most recent meeting.
Spreadex has WBA at 87/100 for the home win, Coventry at 18/5 and the draw 5/2. On the spreads, our Goal Supremacy price has WBA as 0.55 – 0.75 favourites while the Total Goals spread is at 2.45 – 2.65. Total Goal Minutes are at a conservative 124 - 134.
norwich v burnley - saturday 12.30pm
Norwich travel to the league-leading Clarets in this bumper 'Spreadex Derby' early kick-off, knowing a win could ensure they end the weekend back firmly in the play-off positions. David Wagner's appointment as manager has seen back to back victories, but a third will undoubtedly be the hardest to achieve against Vincent Kompany's Burnley side.
Recent meetings between these sides suggest a cagey toss-up with both having chances to win. The last five meetings have seen two wins apiece and one draw. Interestingly, only one of those five matches saw both teams finding the net. That match (2-1 to Norwich in the FA Cup) was also the only one of the five that saw over 2.5 goals scored.
Spreadex has Norwich at 8/5 for the win, Burnley at 9/5 and the draw 12/5. Total Goal Minutes are at 128 - 138 with Total Goals 2.5 - 2.7.
millwall v sunderland - saturday 3pm
The Black Cats are in action against a team just one point and one place in the table above them, and results in these kinds of matches may be decisive if they are to reach the play-offs this season. The away side have lost just once in their last six league matches, while Millwall's form has been up and down but includes a tight win in their last league match.
Tony Mowbray will be hopeful his team can use the momentum of a strong showing in the FA Cup to continue their league exploits, and will be confident with the knowledge that the last head to head meeting ended with a 3-0 victory for Sunderland in December 2022. Can they repeat that trick on the road?
Spreadex have installed Millwall as slight favourites on the Supremacy spread though, at 0.35 - 0.55. On the fixed odds, Millwall are at 23/20, with Sunderland at 3/1 and the draw at 12/5. We have BOOSTED Ross Stewart to score anytime for the Black Cats from 2/1 to 12/5!
huddersfield v qpr - saturday 3pm
The Terriers are still in trouble and sit three points from safety, albeit with two games in hand on Cardiff in 21st place. It is therefore absolutely crucial that they are able to make home advantage count and get points on the board, but that won't be an easy task. However, QPR are one of the teams that the home side would probably like to face at the moment, as they are currently winless in their last seven matches.
Huddersfield have also won three of the last five meetings, including the most recent one 2-1. However, Spreadex have installed the away side as slight favourites to get the victory. The Supremacy spread stands at 0.5 - 0.25.
In terms of goals, we have Total Goal Minutes at 112 - 122 and Total Goals at 2.2 - 2.4.
