COVENTRY V SUNDERLAND – SATURDAY 12:30PM
Sunderland travel to the Ricoh Arena to face Coventry in a re-run of the opening game of the season which ended 1-1 after Jack Clarke’s strike was cancelled out by a Viktor Gyökeres thunderbolt late on.
Since then Sunderland have accumulated 49 points compared to Coventry’s 45 leaving the Black Cats sat in 8th position while the Sky Blues are sat just three places lower in 11th.
Recent history suggests that this will be a close encounter with three of the last five games ending in a draw, whilst the two wins were only won by a single goal. We are offering odds of 23/10 for this game to repeat previous encounters and end in a draw.
Neither side has found it hard to score of late and four of the previous five meetings have seen both teams score. We are offering odds of 4/5 for this to be repeated this Saturday!
BURNLEY V HUDDERSFIELD – SATURDAY 3PM
Next, we head to Turf Moor where two of our partner clubs are in action as top-of-the-table Burnley host Huddersfield in a massive game at two different ends of the table.
Both sides have had two contrasting seasons so far with Burnley 12 points clear at the top of the table while Huddersfield sit third bottom 42 points worse off than the Clarets. However, the Terriers have just appointed former manager Neil Warnock who has a host of Championship experience and the visitors won their first game under their new coach last time out.
Burnley boast the best home record in the league and have also scored the most goals whilst Huddersfield have had 73 goals in their 32 games so far this season. The spread on Total Goal Minutes for this fixture is 134-144.
Burnley are heavy favourites to win this one with Vincent Kompany’s men priced at 2/5 to win whilst Huddersfield are priced at 13/2 to continue Warnock’s 100% record in his second stint at the club.
NORWICH V CARDIFF – SATURDAY 3PM
Norwich are also in action on Saturday as they host Cardiff at Carrow Road. Norwich are currently sat in 8th position just one point off the playoffs while Cardiff are just one place above the relegation zone and will be looking to add to their four-point cushion over Huddersfield.
The last meeting between the sides was a tasty affair with two red cards being shown and Saturday’s visitors came out on top on the day edging the game 1-0.
Since then, Norwich have had an upturn of form and have a new manager in David Wagner which has seen them pick up four wins in their last seven games.
Norwich are priced at a reasonable 8/11 whilst Cardiff are 4/1 to recreate their opening day win over Norwich this time at Carrow Road.
In Norwich’s last two home games, they have scored their first goals in the 27th and 18th minutes. For Saturday’s game, we are offering a spread of 46.5-49.5 on Norwich’s First Goal!
WEST BROM V MIDDLESBROUGH – SATURDAY 3PM
Finally, we head to the Hawthorns as West Brom host in-form Middlesbrough who have won their last five games in the Championship!
The last meeting between the two sides was a close encounter which ended 1-1 with John Swift getting the goal for the Baggies.
A win for the Baggies would be crucial for them in the race for the playoffs and the hosts are priced at 29/20 to get the win whereas Middlesbrough are priced at 2/1 to make it six wins in a row.
