SUNDERLAND V BURNLEY, SATURDAY 3PM
In another 'Spreadex derby', Sunderland host Vincent Kompany's Burnley, who lost top spot in midweek (dropping to third) as they once again drew - their eighth of the season - while the Black Cats exited the top ten after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Blackburn. However, only seven points separate Sunderland in 13th from the current league leaders, and six points separate the two sides here, so a win would be crucial for both sides.
The away side do come into the match as favourites, with a Goal Supremacy spread of Burnley/Sunderland 0.1 - 0.3. The visitors are available at 7/5 on the fixed odds, with the draw at 12/5 and Sunderland at 23/10. Total Goals are available at 2.4 - 2.6, with Total Goal Minutes at 122 - 132.
The last five matches between these sides have seen Burnley hold the slight edge, with two victories compared to Sunderland's one, and two draws. Both draws have been 0-0 stalemates, and you can back that result here at 15/2. No side has drawn more home games in the league this season than the Black Cats, while Burnley have the joint-highest total amount of draws. We also have price boosts available ahead of this game, including Anytime Goalscorer odds for Jay Rodriguez and Patrick Roberts!
MIDDLESBROUGH V huddersfield, SATURDAY 3pm
Huddersfield's poor form continued in midweek and rooted them to the bottom of the table with another defeat, this time a tight 1-0 reverse to Preston, while Middlesbrough secured their first away win of the season in a come-from-behind effort against Wigan. With five points separating these sides but with the Terriers holding a game in hand, a win here could prove vital in the fight for survival.
Spreadex have the Terriers as outsiders ahead of this one though, with a Middlesbrough/Huddersfield Goal Supremacy of 0.75 - 0.95, with the away side at 17/4 on the fixed odds with the draw at 29/10 and Boro at 4/6. Total Goals are available at 2.5 - 2.7, and Total Goal Minutes at 128 - 138.
There have been no draws between these sides in the last five meetings, with three victories for Boro and two for Huddersfield, although the last meeting saw a 2-0 away victory for the Terriers. A repeat of that win would be a huge result for them here, and it can be backed at a price of 20/1.
SHEFFIELD UTD V NORWICH, SATURDAY 3PM
Both of these sides were fighting for top spot for the majority of the season so far, but in recent weeks have both seemingly lost all form and confidence. Sheffield Utd are winless in their last five, while the Canaries have now lost three in a row and without a victory in four matches. With just a point separating the sides, there is an excellent opportunity to turn a corner here and reassert their promotion ambitions.
Spreadex have installed the home side as favourites for the win though, with Sheffield Utd at 13/10, Norwich at 23/10, and the draw 12/5. On the spread betting Goal Supremacy market this translates to Sheff Utd/Norwich 0.1 – 0.3. Four of the last five meetings have seen both teams scoring, and the odds of that happening again here are 4/6.
In terms of the results of the last five meetings, the home side have had an undeniable dominance, with four wins and one draw, with the last meeting seeing a tight 1-0 success, coincidentally the only meeting of the five that didn't see Norwich netting. That result can be backed to be repeated at 7/1, while a 1-0 revenge victory for the Canaries can be backed at 17/2.
MILLWALL V WEST BROM, SATURDAY 3PM
The Baggies post-Steve Bruce momentum quickly dissipated as they fell to a disappointing defeat in midweek, and now face a tough challenge against a Millwall side who have won six of their eight home league matches so far this season. However, the Baggies have come away from The Den victorious as recently as 2020, and will hope they can repeat the feat here.
Spreadex have installed the home side as extremely slight pre-match favourites though, at 7/4 on the fixed odds, with West Brom also at 7/4 and the draw 11/5. On the spread betting Goal Supremacy market this translates to Millwall/West Brom -0.1 – 0.1.
The last five meetings have seen two draws, two wins for Millwall and one for West Brom, but none of the matches have been particularly high-scoring, with none seeing more than three goals netted. We have Total Goal Minutes at 118 - 128 and Total Goals at 2.3 - 2.5, with Under 2.5 Goals at 4/6 on the fixed odds.
