huddersfield V SUNDERLAND, wednesday 7.45PM
Another Spreadex Derby takes place on Wednesday night as the Black Cats visit the Terriers, with the home side in comparatively better form. Still sitting second-from-bottom in the table, Huddersfield do have reasons to be optimistic as they come into this one off the back of an impressive 1-0 win over Millwall at the weekend, and an overall record of two wins and a draw in their last five matches. Sunderland, meanwhile, have just one win in their last five and none in their last three matches, with a 1-1 draw in their last match at the weekend.
As such, it's the home side who come into this one as slight favourites, with a Goal Supremacy spread of Huddersfield/Sunderland 0 - 0.2. This translates to 13/8 on the fixed odds, with the draw at 9/4 and Sunderland at 9/5. Total Goals are available at 2.3 - 2.5, with Total Goal Minutes at 118 - 128. The sides haven't met since way back in 2003 though - and on that occasion Huddersfield secured a 4-2 victory in the League Cup.
The last league meeting hosted by the Terriers ended in a 1-1 draw, and that result can be backed at 5/1.
NORWICH V qpr, wednesday 7.45PM
The Canaries finally snapped their terrible run of form with a crucial 3-1 victory over Stoke at the weekend which kept them at least in the promotion places, but they will face a sterner challenge here against the visiting third-placed QPR, although Rangers will be coming into this one off the back of a disappointing defeat.
Spreadex have installed the home side as favourites for the win at 19/20 on the fixed odds, with QPR at 14/5, and the draw 13/5. On the spread betting Goal Supremacy market this translates to Norwich/QPR 0.4 – 0.6. The last five meetings have seen four wins and a draw for Norwich, so the home side will have reason to be confident in extending this run of form against the visitors. However, the last meeting at Carrow Road produced that sole draw - a 1-1 result which can be backed at 11/2 to be repeated here.
Both of these sides saw a flurry of bookings in their previous league fixtures, with Norwich's match featuring 80 booking points, and QPR's seeing a make-up of 70. Will there be more ill-discipline here? We have Booking Points available at 38 - 42.
WEST BROM V blackpool, tuesday 8PM
The Baggies head into this one bottom of the table and scratching their heads about just what has gone wrong this season (so far at least). There was no 'new manager bounce' on Saturday either as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Utd, making it all the more imperative that they can finally turn a corner against visiting Blackpool tonight. It won't be an easy task either, as Blackpool come into this one off the back of two impressive consecutive victories.
However, Spreadex have installed the home side as fairly hefty pre-match favourites at 13/20 on the fixed odds, with Blackpool 9/2 and the draw 29/10. On the spread betting Goal Supremacy market this translates to West Brom/Blackpool 0.8 – 1. The last meeting at the Hawthorns saw a 2-1 win for the home side back in April this year, and a repeat of that would certainly be a welcome boost. That scoreline can be backed at 7/1.
In terms of goals, four out of the last five meetings have seen both teams scoring - which is available at 4/5. The only anomaly was a 0-0 stalemate, a result which can be backed at 9/1 here.
BURNLEY V Rotherham, wednesday 7.45PM
Vincent Kompany's Clarets continued cementing themselves as the Championship leaders with yet another impressive win and continuation of their unbeaten run - showing their fighting spirit as well by coming from behind for the second consecutive match. They now sit two points clear at the top, and will be full of confidence of getting another three points against the visiting mid-table Rotherham, who have lost their last two matches.
Burnley come into this one as clear favourites, with a Goal Supremacy spread of 1.2 - 1.4, and on the fixed odds at 4/9. Reading are available at 6/1, with the draw at 18/5. Total Goal Minutes are at 136 - 146, and Total Goals are at 2.65 - 2.85.
The last five meetings between these sides have featured three consecutive Burnley victories in the most recent three - two 2-1 victories and a 2-0 last time out. Another 2-1 here is available at 7/1, or 2-0 is available at 11/2.
