With the FA Cup taking place this weekend, there are just four Championship matches involving our partner clubs this weekend, with Sheffield Wednesday’s match this evening chosen for Sky Sports Main Event coverage.
We preview all of the games below ahead of a busy weekend of online betting action.
Successive defeats have seen Sunderland plummet to 6/4 in our Championship promotion odds and with their slim chances at automatic promotion hanging by a thread, they need a win this evening.
Their opponents are Sheffield Wednesday, who have also suffered back-to-back defeats having been thumped 4-0 by Burnley last time out. Our football betting traders have this as a tough one to call, with Sheffield Wednesday chalked up at 17/10 and the draw can be backed at 9/4.
An away win is priced at 8/5 and you can get a boosted 8/1 from 7/1 on the Mackems winning 1-0.
Our second all-partner club affair sees Norwich City make the trip to Lancashire where they will face Blackburn Rovers.
The departure of John Eustace has done little to derail Rovers’ play-off push with the Ewood Park side occupying sixth place. Four points and four places further back are Norwich who have recently welcomed Josh Sargeant back to the side. The American marksman has averaged a goal every 144 minutes this season and he can be backed to hit the back of the net anytime at 7/4.
This will be Valerien Ismael’s first game in charge at Ewood Park and you can back him to preside over a home win at 31/20.
Also in action tomorrow lunchtime are West Bromwich Albion who face a trip to Elland Road. Wins over Sunderland and Sheffield United have the Leeds fans dreaming of a return to the Premier League and they are 1/16 in our Championship winner odds.
Having secured such momentous wins, the Peacocks are 1/3 to despatch the Baggies this weekend with the hosts scoring 18 goals and conceding just two in February. The Total Goal Minutes football spread betting market is available to buy or sell at 137-147 with Leeds’ last two clashes settling at 265 and 190.
Daniel Farke’s side have been very impressive at home season in the league and Tony Mowbray’s side are 15/2 to inflict what would be just a second league defeat in LS11.
Successive wins have lifted Watford to within three points of the play-offs and the Hornets face a winnable game this weekend when they travel to Stoke.
The Potters could yet be dragged into a relegation scrap and they have lost their last two matches, conceding seven goals in the process. In the 1X2 market, a home win is 7/5, the draw is 23/10 and an away win can be backed at 9/5.
Both sides have scored in eight of Stoke’s last ten matches across all competitions and you can back BTTS at 4/6 while The Total Goals football spread betting market is available to trade at 2.5-2.7.
