Spread Bets Of The Day
It’s an FA Cup 3rd round special, including Sunday’s Merseyside derby, Wolves’ visit from Man United and a chance to nab Mourinho’s scalp for Middlesbrough. But what are the Spread Bets of the Weekend? 1. Liverpool v Everton – Total Goals, 3.1-3.3After securing 12 months of Premier League football without a single defeat, Liverpool head to the FA Cup for the 2nd Merseyside derby of the season. Last time the Reds hosted Everton they beat the Toffees 5-2. Since then, however, the Toffees have given Marco Silva the boot – that loss was actually the final straw – went unbeaten under Duncan Ferguson, and are now in the safe hands of Carlo Ancelotti. Will that make a difference on Sunday? Spreadex are still offering a Total Goals spread of 3.1-3.3, if with a tighter Liverpool/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.3-0.5. 2. Wolves v Man United – Wolves/Man United Goal Supremacy, 0.2-0.4Neither of these sides had the best start to 2020. Wolves lost 2-1 at a rebounding Watford, while Man United handed Mikel Arteta his first win as Arsenal manager. So, both will want to course-correct early Saturday evening. Though they’ve lost their last 2 fixtures, the hosts did beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co. 2-0 back in October. Hence a narrow Wolves/Man United Goal Supremacy spread of 0.2-0.4. 3. Middlesbrough v Tottenham – Middlesbrough to win match, 15.3-21.1Mourinho’s honeymoon period at Tottenham is over. Spurs have 3 wins in their last 8 games, with one draw and 4 losses – including a 1-0 defeat at Southampton on Wednesday, a fixture that included a yellow card for a nosy Jose. Can Middlesbrough – who are on a major upswing, with 4 wins on the trot – take advantage? Spreadex are offering Boro to win at a binary spread of 15.3-21.1. 4. Rochdale v Newcastle – Joelinton SMM, 28-34Newcastle have a serious goal problem. Their top scorer is Jonjo Shelvey, which is worrying because a) he only has 5 goals in all competitions, and b) he is injured. Is it finally time for £40 million Joelinton – who has 1 goals in 21 appearances – to step up against Rochdale? He sits at a SMM spread of 28-34. 5. Gillingham v West Ham – Total Goal Minutes, 147-157The Hammers looked like a new team under David Moyes on New Year’s Day, beating Bournemouth 4-0. Can they follow it up with a thumping victory over Gillingham? Spreadex are offering a Total Goal Minutes spread of 147-157. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
