Spread Bets Of The Day
Liverpool look to bounce back with an FA Cup win at Chelsea, Championship leaders West Brom host Newcastle, and South Africa and Australia meet in their 2nd ODI – it’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Chelsea v Liverpool – Chelsea/Liverpool Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1Liverpool’s season is at a bit of a crossroads. Within the space of the next 7 days they could be chasing a treble, or left to simply wrap up a Premier League campaign long over already. Step one is beating Chelsea in the FA Cup 5th round, at 7.45pm on BBC One. Jurgen Klopp hasn’t exactly been prioritising the domestic cups, repeatedly sending out his kids for one reason or another. That strategy failed in the EFL Cup, but has just about been successful in the FA Cup, with 1-0 wins over Everton and Shrewsbury Town (the latter, admittedly, following a 2-2 draw at New Meadow). The German manager is likely to change tack this time out, however – at this point in the season there’s really no reason not to. The Blues haven’t been at their best in 2020, with only 2 wins in the league and a 1st leg loss to Bayern Munich in Europe. They’re also missing top scorer Tammy Abraham due to an ankle injury, with no-one else in double digits to act as cover. Yet despite all this, the Reds are coming off their first league loss since January 2019, meaning they might be at their lowest point mentally so far this season. That explains why Spreadex are offering a Chelsea/Liverpool Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1. 2. West Brom v Newcastle – Total Goals, 2.45-2.65Having already gotten rid of West Ham in the last round, Championship leaders West Brom are chasing another Premier League scalp when they face Newcastle at 8pm on BBCi. Though they have had their fair share of wobbles in the last couple of months, the Baggies are still on track for automatic promotion, and have scored more than any side in the Championship, with 64 goals in 36 games. In the FA Cup, however, they’ve only managed a goal in each fixture, beating both Charlton and the Hammers 1-0. Which West Brom will win out on Tuesday? Spreadex are offering a Total Goals spread of 2.45-2.65. 3. South Africa v Australia 2nd ODI – Henrich Klaasen Player Performance, 35-40After losing the T20 series 2-1, hosts South Africa got the 3-game ODI series off to a strong start, beating Australia by 74 runs. Heinrich Klaasen was the backbone of that victory, the 28-year old managing his first ever ODI century with an unbeaten 123 runs. Can he repeat that feat on Wednesday morning, at 11am on Sky Sports Cricket? Spreadex have him at a Player Performance spread of 35-40. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
