Spread Bets Of The Day
It’s Manic Monday at Wimbledon, including Cori Gauff’s biggest test yet and appearances from Serena Williams and Rafa Nadal, alongside the final 2 African Cup of Nations last-16 fixtures! 1. Simona Halep vs Cori Gauff – Cori Gauff Outright Index, 8.5-11.5Cori Gauff remains THE story of Wimbledon 2019. Not only did she knockout Venus Williams in the 1st round, she survived 2 match points against Polona Hercog in the 3rd round before eventually besting the Slovenian world no. 60. And she’s only 15! Her toughest test of the competition so far will come on Monday, as she faces Simona Halep at 3pm on BBC Two. The American isn’t expected to win on Court One, with Spreadex offering a Halep/Gauff Match Supremacy spread of 10.5-13.5. However, Gauff has produced upset after upset already, so could be one to watch at an Outright Index spread of 8.5-11.5. 2. Serena Williams vs Carla Suarez Navarro – S. Williams 2-1, 15.3-25Still aiming to equal Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles, Serena Williams was at her best in the 3rd round, beating Julia Gorges 6-3 6-4. She takes on Carla Suarez Navarro in the 4th round, at 1pm on BBC One, with the Spaniard yet to drop a set. Serena could be stretched all the way, then, with Spreadex offering a S. Williams 2-1 binary spread of 15.3-25. 3. Joao Sousa vs Rafael Nadal – Nadal 3-0, 69.2-77.8Centre Court opens this Monday with Joao Sousa taking on Rafa Nadal, at 1pm on BBC One. Sousa secured one of the bigger upsets on the men’s side of the competition when he knocked out Marin Cilic in 3 sets in the 2nd round. Yet it might be tough to take a set off of Nadal; the erratic Nick Kyrgios is the only man to do so in the first 3 rounds. That leaves the French Open champion at a Nadal 3-0 binary spread of 69.2-77.8. 4. Mali vs Ivory Coast – Ivory Coast to Win, Under 5.5 Match Goals, 36.3-43.5In the first of the final 2 African Cup of Nations last-16 fixtures, Mali take on Ivory Coast at 5pm on Eurosport 2. Though both sides picked up 4-1 wins in the group stages, against Mauritania and Namibia respectively, they struggled to find the back of the net in their other matches, at best scoring once. Spreadex, then, are offering a binary Ivory Coast to Win, Under 5.5 Match Goals spread of 36.3-43.5. 5. Ghana vs Tunisia – Cross Bookings, 350-410Both Ghana and Tunisia are yet to go a game in the African Cup of Nations without picking up at least 1 yellow card. That means a Cross Bookings spread of 350-410 might be worth watching ahead of their last-16 face-off, at 8pm on Eurosport 2.
