Spread Bets Of The Day
A pressure-filled trip to Portugal for Phil Neville’s England Women, a must-win game for Scotland and a Fijian face-off for Wales all make our Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Portugal vs England – Portugal to win match, 6.6-11.8Phil Neville might be beginning to sweat a bit. His England side haven’t won a game since the World Cup quarter-final against Norway. Since then they’ve lost the subsequent semi-final and 3rd place play-off, before drawing their friendly against Belgium and suffering 2-1 defeats to Norway and Brazil. Will Portugal help pile the pressure on Phil? The fact they didn’t actually make the World Cup and only narrowly bested Albania on Friday suggests not. However, if you can’t look past England’s current funk, Spreadex are offering a binary Portugal to win match spread of 6.6-11.8. 2. Scotland vs Russia – Scotland/Russia Point Supremacy, 35-38To stand a chance of reaching the last-16, Scotland need to win on Wednesday morning, and win big. And then they’d have to beat Japan on Sunday, AND match the hosts for any bonus points. Luckily for the Scots, Russia haven’t been very good at all. In fact, they are one of 4 sides yet to pick up a single point, bonus or otherwise, suffering heavy losses to Japan, Samoa and Ireland. They failed to even register in that last fixture, slumping to a 35-0 thumping. Gregor Townsend’s side will be looking to replicate that on Wednesday. Spreadex are offering a Scotland/Russia Point Supremacy spread of 35-38. 3. Wales vs Fiji – Wales Outright Index, 49-53Wales are facing a busy week, looking to beat Fiji and Uruguay in order to top Pool D ahead of Australia (who they narrowly got past in one of the more thrilling fixtures of the competition so far). Given that they would likely avoid New Zealand until the final if they win the group, the Welsh will be aiming to go all the way. Ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Oita, Spreadex has Wales at an Outright Index spread of 49-53. Disclaimer: prices quoted are subject to change.
