Spread Bets Of The Day
A pair of 3rd round FA Cup replays for Tottenham and Watford and a sort-of must-win game for Inter Milan all make our Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Tottenham v Middlesbrough – Middlesbrough to win match, 5.8-10Spurs are in a bit of a pickle. With an alarming injury list – including Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris and Moussa Sissoko – and just one win in their last 6 games, Jose Mourinho’s side are not in good shape at all. Losses at home to Chelsea and Liverpool, while not ideal, are somewhat permissible. Their defeat at Southampton, and draws away at Norwich and Middlesbrough are not. Boro, then, may feel they can get a scalp on Tuesday night. They were the ones who opened scoring in the first attempt at this fixture, and are actually unbeaten in their last 5 Championship games, with 4 wins and a draw. It might be a long shot – Middlesbrough sit at a win match binary spread of 5.8-10 – but, given the current state of Spurs, it’s far from unthinkable. 2. Tranmere v Watford – Watford/Tranmere (h) Goal Supremacy, 1.1-1.3Echoing what he said before the home leg of this fixture, Nigel Pearson has claimed Tuesday’s replay is ‘not a priority’ for the Hornets. It almost wasn’t a necessity – a much-changed Watford were 3-0 by half time when they hosted Tranmere, only to completely blow it after the break. Though Sunday’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth lifted the club out of the relegation zone for the first time since the season began, Pearson’s rescue job is far from over. And with a visit from Spurs to look forward to on Saturday, his lack of focus on the FA Cup is forgivable. The Hornets – set to field a changed side once again – are still heavy favourites, at a Watford/Tranmere (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.1-1.3. Can the Rovers spring another surprise? You’d need to sell that price if you think they can. 3. Inter Milan v Cagliari – Romelu Lukaku SMM, 65-75Saturday’s draw against Atalanta, combined with Juve’s win over Roma a day later, sent the defending champions to the top of Serie A at the expensive of Inter Milan. The Milanese club could do with a quick bounce back against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia, then, to put that slip-up behind them.Antonio Conte could do with another couple of goals from Romelu Lukaku – as will anyone intending to buy the Belgian’s chunky SMM spread of 65-75.
