Spread Bets Of The Day
Crystal Palace take on Brighton, Boston face Rochdale in their FA Cup replay, and Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder raise the curtain on the 2019/20 Big Bash League! It’s our Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Crystal Palace v Brighton – Crystal Palace/Brighton Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1In most seasons, this current Crystal Palace side are prime mid-table fodder. Yet a win on Monday night – at 8pm on Sky Sports Premier League – would put them on 25 points, the same as Man United and Sheffield United, above Wolves and Arsenal, and just one off 5th place Tottenham. For Brighton victory would allow them to jump into 10th place, leaving them a healthy 7 points above the relegation zone. Since the end of November Palace have beaten Burnley and Bournemouth, before a less-than-inspiring goalless draw at Watford. The Seagulls, meanwhile, following up a 2-1 win against Arsenal at the Emirates – not the scalp it once was – with a 2-2 draw at home to Wolves. Similar stretches of form means Monday’s match is a tough one to call. With that in mind, Spreadex are offering a choice Crystal Palace/Brighton Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1. 2. Boston United v Rochdale – Total Goals, 2.6-2.8Chasing a 3rd round visit from Newcastle, Boston United and Rochdale meet in their FA Cup replay at 7.30pm on BT Sport 1. This is the 2nd replay in a row for Rochdale. In the 1st round they drew 0-0 at Wrexham, before winning the home leg 1-0. At home to Boston in the 2nd round things ended similarly goalless, setting up Monday’s clash. As for the Pilgrims, they’ve been in the competition since the 2nd round of qualifying, beating Stamford, Sutton Coldfield Town and Hednesford Town before seeing off Carshalton Athletic in the 1st round proper. If their last meeting was anything to go by, this might not be overflowing with chances. Spreadex is offering a Total Goals spread of 2.6-2.8. 3. Brisbane Heat v Sydney Thunder – Brisbane Heat Outright Index, 30-34 The 2019/20 Big Bash League begins on Tuesday morning, when Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder face off at 8.10am on BT Sport 1. Both sides missed out on the semi-finals last season by a single point, so will be looking to get an early advantage at the Gabba. The Heat seem best poised to do so – even if they are missing Joe Burns and Marnus Labuschagne, busy with Australia, and AB de Villiers, who will join in the 2nd half of the season – and sit at a Brisbane/Sydney Supremacy spread of 6-14. That’s where 1 point is awarded per run a match is won by, or 10 points per wicket. More importantly, the Heat are favourites for the competition as a who, at an Outright Index spread of 30-34, where 1st place receives 100 points, 2nd 50 etc etc. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
