Spread Bets Of The Day
The latest test for Klopp’s unbeaten Liverpool, and the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals, all feature in our Spread Bets of the Day. But what should you be paying attention to? 1. Man United vs Liverpool – Bookings, 42-46Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s in-trouble Man United, who head into Sunday missing David De Gea and Paul Pogba, become the latest side to try and end Liverpool’s 100% domestic record, and a Premier League winning streak that currently stretches to 17 games. Victory at Old Trafford on Sunday would see the Reds equal Man City’s all-time record. Given the storied history between the two rivals, things could get a bit niggly, hence a Bookings spread of 42-46. 2. England vs Australia – Match Cross Tries, 5.4-6.4In an unfortunate reward for topping Pool C, England look to wallop the Wallabies in their Rugby World Cup quarter-final on Saturday morning. During the Pool stages Eddie Jones’ side managed around 5.7 tries across the 3 games that actually got to play; the Aussies, meanwhile, averaged 5 per fixture. That, then, makes a Match Cross Tries spread of 5.4-6.4 – where Team A’s tries are multiplied by Team B’s tries – potentially one to watch. 3. New Zealand vs Ireland – New Zealand/Ireland Point Supremacy, 13-16It is just shy of a year ago since Ireland beat New Zealand 16-9 in Dublin, one of a very small number of sides to beat the All Blacks this decade (they’ve only lost 12 times in the 2010s). Joe Schmidt’s side would love to repeat that feat on Saturday, and in doing so reach Ireland’s first ever Rugby World Cup semi-final. They’ll need to overcome a New Zealand/Ireland Point Supremacy spread of 13-16, however, if that is to be the case. 4. Wales vs France – 1st Match Try, 23-26Confident as they topped Pool D, Wales – who, remember, were world no. 1s at the start of the tournament – are looking for a return to the World Cup semi-finals after missing out back in 2011. To do so they need to beat France, and will want to assert their dominance quickly on Sunday. So far their 1st try has come after an average of 15.25 minutes – notably less than Spreadex’s 1st Match Try spread of 23-26. 5. Japan vs South Africa – Total Points, 48-51Sport has that wonderful ability to write its own narratives. Unbeaten during the Pool stage, Japan now take own South Africa, the side they shocked back in 2015. Though the stats are impacted by Typhoon Hagibis, the Spingboks were the highest scoring nation in the Pool stage with 185 points. The hosts, meanwhile, got a respectable 115. With that in mind, Spreadex are offering a Total Points spread of 48-51. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
