Spread Bets Of The Day
It’s a busy night for English sides in the Europe League, as Man United travel to Club Brugge, Arsenal visit Olympiakos and Wolves host Espanyol – but what should you be watching out for? It’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Club Brugge v Man United – Odion Ighalo SMM, 26-31Fresh off of Monday’s 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, Man United travel to Club Brugge for their Europa League last-32 1st leg fixture, at 5.55pm on BT Sport 2. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the fixture is a potential first start for January signing Odion Ighalo. The 30-year old was brought in on loan from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua to help add another option up front following Marcus Rashford’s back injury. The Nigerian was certainly an odd choice for Solskjaer, though he does at least have Premier League experience. Back in 2015/16 he got a solid 15 goals in 37 appearances for Watford; a season later, however, it was 1 in 18. Ighalo did come on against Chelsea, but deep into stoppage time, meaning Thursday will likely be fans’ first chance of getting a proper look at him. He heads to Belgium at a SMM spread of 26-31. 2. Olympiakos v Arsenal – Total Goal Minutes, 137-147With only 4 wins since taking over at Arsenal – 2 in the league, 2 in the FA Cup – Mikel Arteta oversees his first Europa League game on Thursday, at 8pm on BT Sport 2. Their hosts, Olympiakos, are unbeaten in 28 domestic fixtures this season. Yet they were dismal in the Champions League, scraping through to the Europa League thanks to a draw with Spurs and a 1-0 win over Red Star Belgrade. Under Unai Emery the Gunners’ performance in group stage was a tale of two halves: 3 wins in a row, followed by 2 draws and a loss. They were regularly leaving it late, as well; 4 of the 6 fixtures involved goals after the 80th minute. That was echoed at the weekend, as Arsenal scored twice in injury time during their 4-0 win over Newcastle. Will it be the same in Piraeus? Spreadex is offering a Total Goal Minutes spread of 137-147. 3. Wolves v Espanyol – Wolves/Espanyol Goal Supremacy, 0.95-1.15Wolves are having a rough 2020. They’ve managed just one win in 8 games across the Premier League and FA Cup, though thanks to Man City’s UEFA ban, they are still just about in with a chance of securing 5th place in the former. Interestingly, despite Espanyol seeming a lock for La Liga relegation, they’re actually in better shape at the moment than their hosts. They’ve only lost twice this year, once in the league and once in the Copa del Rey. They even held Barcelona to a 2-2 draw in their first game of 2020. Despite this Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are still heavy favourites, at a Wolves/Espanyol Goal Supremacy spread of 1-1.2. That means they need to win by at least 2 goals for you to make any money buying that price. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
