Spread Bets Of The Day
Jamie Vardy chases a Premier League century, Tottenham host West Ham in the first post-restart London derby, and Barcelona look to re-take 1st place in La Liga – it’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Leicester v Brighton – Jamie Vardy SMM, 48-56Still in danger of losing 3rd place to Chelsea, Leicester will be looking for their first post-restart win when they host Brighton, at 6pm on Sky Sports Premier League. Though they ended the pre-break era with a 4-0 win over Aston Villa – in the final game before lockdown hit – that result masks a downturn in form for the Foxes, one that they were unable to overturn with Saturday’s very late draw with Watford. Leicester only have 3 league wins in 10 games in 2020, a run that corresponds with Jamie Vardy’s injury issues. The forward might be the league’s top scorer with 19 goals, but he only has 2 this year, both coming against Villa. Brendan Rodgers could do with Vardy returning to the prolific form he saw in the first half of the season, especially since Brighton will be riding high after shocking Brighton at the weekend.Vardy himself will also be keen – he is only one goal away from joining the Premier League’s 100 club. He goes into Tuesday night at a SMM spread of 48-56, meaning he needs a strike just before the hour mark, or at least 2 goals, to start to make you any money when buying at that price. 2. Tottenham v West Ham – Bookings, 39-43Neither Spurs nor West Ham will be happy with their season, if for drastically different reasons. The first London derby of the restart takes place at 8.15pm on Sky Sports Premier League. It’s a sign of how far behind the pack Tottenham are that, in 8th place, they are 15 points above 17th place West Ham, but 12 off 3rd place Leicester. Their 1-1 draw against Man United did nothing for their hopes of reaching Europe next season, though the fact Solskjaer’s side take on 7th place Sheffield means Spurs could push higher if results go their way. As for West Ham, they are in serious danger of the drop, with only goal difference separating them and Bournemouth in 18th. Not great given they are at Spurs tonight and host Chelsea next Wednesday. Last time these sides met Tottenham won 3-2 in a game that saw 5 yellow cards, i.e. a Bookings makeup of 50. This time out Spreadex are offering a Bookings spread of 39-43. 3. Barcelona v Athletic Bilbao – Barcelona/Athletic Bilbao Goal Supremacy, 1.6-1.8Barca’s title defence might be in trouble. A 0-0 draw against Sevilla allowed Real Madrid to draw level on points, with Zidane’s now in 1st place on head-to-head points. Tuesday’s visit from Athletic Bilbao – at 9pm on La Liga TV (Sky 435) – is a must win, then, especially with Real taking on relegation-fodder Mallorca on Wednesday. After a 10-game league winless streak between December 8th and February 23rd – including 5 wins and 5 draws – Bilbao are actually unbeaten in 5. Even more importantly, they have twice beaten Barca 1-0 this season, in the opening game of La Liga and the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey. That makes a high Barcelona/Athletic Bilbao Goal Supremacy spread of 1.6-1.8 all the more surprising.
