Spread Bets Of The Day
Can Liverpool take one big leap towards the title? Who will win a surprising Champions League battle between Man United and Sheffield? And can Villa and Bournemouth escape the relegation zone? It’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Liverpool v Crystal Palace – Liverpool/Crystal Palace Goal Supremacy, 1.5-1.7After failing to beat Everton at the weekend, in a rather rusty post-lockdown restart, Liverpool can’t win the title when they host Crystal Palace at 8.15pm on Sky Sports Premier League. However, a victory would mean that, if Man City fail to beat Chelsea on Thursday, the championship is theirs. There’s much less at stake for Crystal Palace, though a shock win would potentially put them in the conversation for a spot in the Europe League next season. Though they were goalless at Goodison Park, and only narrowly beat Palace 2-1 in November, the hosts sit at a rather substantial Liverpool/Crystal Palace Goal Supremacy spread of 1.5-1.7. That means, if you bought at that price, they would need to win by at least 2 goals to start making you money. 2. Man United v Sheffield United – Total Goals, 2.5-2.7In one of the more surprising statements of 2019/20, Man United and last season’s Championship runners-up Sheffield United are battling for a spot in the Champions League at 6pm on Sky One. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently in 5th place – the new lower threshold for a spot in the UCL thanks to 2nd place City’s suspension – on 46 points. The Blades, meanwhile, are in 8th on 44. Victory for the latter, then, could cause a reshuffle, dependent on what Wolves do against Bournemouth. Last time these teams met it was a bit of a thriller, with the game ending 3-3. However, since that fixture in November, Sheffield have only scored more than one goal in 3 out of 17 league fixtures. Spreadex are offering a Total Goals spread of 2.5-2.7. 3. Newcastle v Aston Villa – Joelinton SMM, 17-21In Sunday’s 3-0 win over Sheffield United, something remarkable happened. Joelinton, the £40 million laughing stock, got his 2nd Premier League goal, and 4th goal total, of the season. That paltry record comes despite the Brazilian playing in more games than any other Newcastle player in 2019/20. Will he get another against Villa? He stands a good chance – Villa have the worst defence in the league. However, the Midlands side will be desperate for a win, spotting their chance to escape the relegation zone. Spreadex is offering a Joelinton Super Mega Goal Minutes spread of 17-21. 4. Norwich v Everton – Bookings, 38-42The Canaries aren’t quite out of it just yet. Victory over Everton – at 6pm on BBC One – would see them move onto 24 points, just 3 away from West Ham, who they play in mid-July. For the Toffees, meanwhile, a win wouldn’t do much bar potentially move them into the top half of the table. When these teams met in November – a game Norwich won 2-0 – there were 8 yellow cards handed out, leading to a Bookings makeup of 80. Ahead of tonight’s game, Spreadex is offering a Bookings spread of 38-42. 5. Wolves v Bournemouth – Headed Goal Minutes, 23-26Both Wolves and Bournemouth, who meet at 6pm on BT Sport 2, could do with all 3 points on Wednesday. For the Cherries it would mean they leapfrog West Ham and jump out of the relegation zone. For Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, it could push them a step closer towards Champions League football.Raul Jimenez may well be the difference maker. He has 14 goals in the league so far, with 4 of those coming off his noggin. With that in mind, Spreadex are offering a Headed Goal Minutes spread of 23-26.
