Spread Bets Of The Day
A Welsh test for the All Blacks, the 1st of England’s T20 series in New Zealand, and another potentially miserable meeting for Sri Lanka in Australia – it’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. New Zealand vs Wales – Josh Adams SMM, 25-28Though a bronze medal is no medal at all, it would still be a big statement for Wales to beat New Zealand in the 3rd place play-off on Friday morning. They came agonisingly close to getting past South Africa, while the All Blacks will have bruised pride after missing out on their 3rd consecutive final. It could also be a big day for Josh Adams. Currently the 24-year old is 2019’s leading scorer with 6 tries. Springbok Makazole Mapimpi is breathing down his neck on 5 ahead of Saturday’s face-off against England. If he gets a couple on Friday he’d tie the record for most tries in a tournament, shared by Bryan Habana, Jonah Lomu and 2015’s Julien Savea. Another (unlikely) hat-trick and he’d top the lot. Spreadex have him at a SMM spread of 25-28. 2. New Zealand vs England 1st T20 – New England/England Supremacy, 6-14Winning their 1st 20-over tour match by 6 wickets, England got a taste of their own medicine on Tuesday as a New Zealand XI beat them by 8 wickets, in large part thanks to Colin Munro’s 107 not out. The hosts, then, have a smidge more momentum head into the early hours of Friday morning – 1am, precisely – with Spreadex offering a New Zealand/England Supremacy spread of 6-14. That’s where 1 point is awarded for each run a match is won by, or 10 points per wicket. 3. Australia vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20 – David Warner Player Performance, 38-43The Lions have looked rather toothless during their T20 trip to Australia. Suffering an opening defeat against the Prime Minister’s XI, they then came away from their 1st T20 international against the hosts proper with a hefty 134 runs loss. The follow-up was just as bad, Australia winning by 9 whole wickets. After a truly awful Ashes David Warner has relished Sri Lanka’s visit – he clocked an unbeaten century in the 1st meeting from 56 balls, before getting another 60 runs in Brisbane. He’ll be chasing a similar total on Friday, and sits at a Player Performance spread of 38-43. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
