Spread Bets Of The Day
It’s a big night for those sides chasing Europe AND trying to avoid relegation, as Bournemouth host Tottenham and Man United travel to Aston Villa – but which markets should you be keeping an eye on? 1. Aston Villa v Man United – Total Goal Minutes, 154-164United have really hit their stride in their last couple of games – will they blow away Aston Villa, at 8.15pm on Sky Sports Premier League? Their 3-0 wins over Sheffield United and Brighton were followed on Saturday by their 5-2 thrashing of Bournemouth, in a game that saw 3 goals disallowed by VAR. The introduction of Bruno Fernandes has been crucial, with the Portuguese January signing heading into Thursday night at a SMM spread of 39-45. As for Villa, a win isn’t enough to push them out of the drop zone. They do, however, have a slightly more favourable run-in than rivals Bournemouth, culminating in a potential final day relegation battle at West Ham. Back in December their meeting at Old Trafford ended 2-2, with a Total Goal Minutes makeup of 183. This time out, with United in free-slowing form, Spreadex are offering a spread of 154-164. 2. Bournemouth v Tottenham – Tottenham/Bournemouth (h) Goal Supremacy, 0.85-1.05Spurs haven’t quite looked at their best since the restart, and are in danger of missing out on a spot in Europe if they don’t properly get their act together. Luckily they’re traveling to Bournemouth – a side without a win in their last 8 league games – at 6pm free on Pick TV (and Sky One). Like Villa, a shock victory for the Cherries wouldn’t actually lift them out of the relegation zone, leaving them one point short of Watford. However, it would give them a bit more hope heading into a horrible run-in, with a visit from Leicester on Sunday and a trip to Man City next Wednesday. The hosts actually came close to getting something off Spurs last time out, coming back from 3-0 down for a respectable 3-2 finish. Their record doesn’t lie, however, hence a Tottenham/Bournemouth (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.85-1.05. 3. Everton v Southampton – Danny Ings SMM, 28-33The Saints may have had a middling season overall, but there are positives to be plucked from the post-restart era. They travel to Everton at 6pm, free on Amazon Prime Video. They’ve won 3 of their last 4 fixtures, including that surprise 1-0 victory at home to Southampton. And, more importantly, in Danny Ings that have a forward who is still in the running for the Golden Boot, with 18 goals to Jamie Vardy’s 22. Ings scored against Everton last time the sides met, in the game that followed Southampton’s record-breaking 9-0 loss at home to Leicester. They’ve come a long way since then, in large part to the English striker, who sits at a SMM spread of 28-33. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
