Spread Bets Of The Day
Man City host Liverpool in a psychologically fascinating encounter, Sheffield and Tottenham battle over the Europe League, and Getafe make the trip to Real Madrid – but what markets should you be watching? 1. Man City v Liverpool – Man City/Liverpool Goal Supremacy, 0.4-0.6At one point it looked like Liverpool were going to win the title at the Etihad – instead Chelsea did the job for them with their win over Man City last week. Will the hosts be able to spoil Klopp’s title party – and damage Liverpool’s hopes of matching City’s record 100 point haul – at 8.15pm on Sky Sports Premier League? The champions still only have one mark in the L column in the league, that shock 3-0 defeat at Watford. And while it took them some time to warm up against Everton, they ran roughshod over Crystal Palace. As for City, they’re coming off that 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge, and have little to play for in the league beyond spite. Psychologically Thursday’s fixture is a weird one. A win doesn’t really do anything for either side. Yet they will both be desperate not to give the other the satisfaction of all 3 points. It’s also the Reds first game since they won the title without kicking a ball. According to Spreadex, the hosts have the edge, at a slightly surprising Man City/Liverpool Goal Supremacy spread of 0.4-0.6. 2. Sheffield United v Tottenham – Harry Kane SMM, 39-46Both scrapping over a spot in the Europa League, Sheffield United host Tottenham at 6pm on Sky Sports Premier League. The Blades have looked awful since the restart, with a goalless draw at Villa followed by a pair of 3-0 losses at Newcastle and Man United. Tottenham have been better, though without really shining. They were forced to a draw against United, while required an own goal to get things going against West Ham. Harry Kane got the 2nd against the Hammers, marking his 1st goal this year. A weak Sheffield defence may allow him to get rid of his remaining cobwebs, with Spreadex offering the English forward at a SMM spread of 39-46. 3. Real Madrid v Getafe – Total Card Minutes, 346-376Victory over Getafe on Thursday would put Real Madrid 4 points ahead of Barcelona; an away win, meanwhile, would lift the visitors back to 5th, and keep their Champions League hopes alive. The pair meet at 9pm on La Liga TV (Sky 435). The Spanish league hasn’t been shy with the bookings since the restart. In Getafe’s last game alone there were 9 yellow cards handed out, leading to a Total Card Minutes makeup of 529. Will there be a similar testiness this evening? Spreadex are offering a Total Card Minutes spread of 346-376. Disclaimer: prices quoted are subject to change.
