Top 3 bets for England's T20 WC semi + tennis & racing

When is England’s World T20 semi-final against New Zealand?

England have been arguably the most impressive team in the T20 World Cup so far, but they can’t afford to let their standards drop this afternoon against New Zealand with a place in Sunday’s final on offer. The shortest form of the game has the most variance, with even one bad over in a game enough to change the whole course of the tournament. So far England have kept their standards high with both bat and ball, with even the loss in their last group game to South Africa easily excused, given winning every other game had left them some modest targets to ensure progression and they topped the group. Jason Roy has joined the list of players unavailable for England and his absence, and the reshuffle it causes, could be one of those small differences that in this form of the game proves decisive. England are big favourites though, 8/15 to progress to the final, with the Black Caps 6/4.

Multi-Flyer (35-40)

This market is made up by multiplying the two 1st over scores together. Both teams boast big hitting openers, even if England have had to replace Jason Roy. It looks like Jonny Bairstow will join Jos Buttler at the top of the innings, and if anything he is even more destructive than Roy. There are other possible replacements, and while Moeen Ali and Dawid Malan are not as big hitting and wouldn’t favour buyers, Liam Livingstone is one of the biggest hitters in the game.

When does Andy Murray play next in Sweden?

Murray takes on top seed and world number 10 Jannik Sinner early this evening, depending on the schedule before their clash. In a perfect world, they’ll come on court just as England’s cricketers are wrapping up their World T20 final spot! Murray has done a decent job of winning one or two matches at all of his recent tournaments, and he’s up against it here if he’s to make it more than one win at the Stockholm Open. These two have never met before, but Sinner is the 4/11 favourite, with Murray available at 21/10.

Murray Games (10.1-10.9)

It goes without saying that if Andy Murray can roll back the years and cause an upset in Stockholm, he will beat the 10.1-10.9 spread, as he must win a minimum of 12 games to progress. He of course could still beat the spread if he loses, especially if this goes to three sets. Murray impressed in yesterday’s 1st round match with Norwegian qualifier Viktor Durasovic, but Sinner is a step up from that. Will the former world number 1 be able to live with the current world number 10?

Where is the evening racing action tonight?

There’s an 8-race meeting at Kempton tonight, starting with the 4.30 and closing with the 8.00. Most of the top jockeys will be in action, with the likes of Ryan Moore, Andrea Atzeni, Tom Marquand and Hollie Doyle booked to ride, though Rob Hornby is the only jockey who is due to ride in six races.

Tom Marquand (Super Mega Jockey Performance 48-51)

It looks a really competitive card at Kempton but we’ve seen some buyers of Tom Marquand’s Jockey Performance, that awards 25 points for a win, 10 for 2nd and 5 for 3rd, and his Super Mega Performance, that awards double points for the 2nd winner and treble for a 3rd. Marquand’s first mount is in the 2nd race,  Princess Dor likely to go off 3/1 2nd favourite. In the 6.00 he is on 14/1 outsider Motawaafeq but he has better chances later. In the 7.00 he rides evens favourite Candleford and has 3/1 Beggarman in the last, with 14/1 shot Harston in between.
