Spread Bets Of The Day
Is there a Monday Night Football match in Champions League week?
Considering all the Champions League and Europa games this week, Everton against Arsenal is a cracker for our Monday entertainment, or it would be if Everton weren’t playing so badly at the moment. Rafa Benitez is already under pressure, with anyone with Reds connections given short shrift by the Blue side of the city. If Everton lose tonight they will have gone nine games without a win for the first time since 1994. If they win it will be their third straight win against Arsenal, something they’ve not done since 1986.
Anytime Goalscorer: Richarlison (Boosted to 11/5)
The Brazilian striker has missed games through injury and suspension and as result has not settled into a goalscoring rhythm this season. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin still out, there is extra responsibility on the former Watford man’s shoulders to score the goals to stop Everton’s bad run and help his gaffer win over the Goodison faithful.
Is there Monday Night Football in the NFL too?
The Buffalo Bills host the New England Patriots in a crucial game tonight with 1st place in the AFC East on the line. Just a year after sweeping the Patriots on their way to a first division title in 25 years, the Bills are in the more familiar position of trying to catch them, but a win for Buffalo, who are 7-4, will put them on pole position against New England (8-4). The Patriots are on a six-game winning streak, and haven’t conceded a point in the second half of their last three games as they shut games down under master tactician Bill Belichick.
Buffalo Multi-Points (112-132)
While New England have been on a tear, Buffalo have struggled for any consistency, winning one then losing one across the last six games. We’ve seen some selling of Buffalo Multi-Points, which is no surprise given the Patriots haven’t given up a second half point in any of the past three games. If they can keep up that record, sellers of the Buffalo Multi-Points spread would cop the maximum 112 times their bet, given the market is made up of first half points multiplied by second half. Buffalo fans would like to think their team is a different proposition to New England’s recent opposition however.
What other major sport is on tonight?
The UK Championship may have only finished last night, but there’s no rest for the snooker stars as they head to Wales (!) to play the Scottish Open (that was held in England last year!). Actually there is rest for new UK Championship champion Zhao Xintong, who lost his preliminary match in the Scottish Open and is already out, but most of the other big names will be present. Tonight world number 2 Judd Trump headlines, as he takes on Robert Milkens while Kyren Wilson, John Higgins, Shaun Murphy and Ding Junhui are all in action too.
Trump v Milkens: Ton or Bust (74-94)
Trump admitted he’s not a massive fan of the UK Championship and the format which seems to drag and he was a shock third round loser against Matt Selt. Punters have been backing Trump to bounce back this week, and if he can find some form, the Ton or Bust market will be of interest. This spread aggregates all the century breaks for that player in the match, so a break of 101 adds 101 to the total, but 99 adds nothing. Buying at 94 means punters need Trump or Milkens to score a ton in this game. If the do, they’ll be in profit, and if they get more than one they’ll be well in profit.
