Spread Bets Of The Day

Top 3 bets for Tuesday's football & snooker

Who are the champions facing tonight?

Manchester City will be looking for their 7th straight Premier League win when they welcome Leeds to the Etihad Stadium. The champions can extend their lead at the top to four points, at least temporarily, though they will be without previously ever present full-back Joao Cancelo, who is suspended after five yellow cards. Leeds are without a number of players, including England internationals Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford, but put in an impressive display at Chelsea at the weekend, only to lose to an injury time penalty.

Both Teams to Score and Man City to Win (Boosted to 13/8)

City’s 1-0 win over Wolves at the weekend brought to an end a run of five straight games where both teams had scored, and in four of them, City went on to win the game. Usually built on defensive solidity, Pep’s men have been prone to the odd error of late that has seen them concede, but they’ve looked so good going forward that they look like they can outscore anyone. Our fixed odds boost has tempted plenty of punters, and really the questions seems to be will Leeds be good enough to get a goal?

Can Dean Smith get one over on his old team?

Aston Villa travel to a Norwich side managed by their former manager Dean Smith tonight. Smith was in charge of his boyhood club for three years until last month, when a run of five straight defeats saw the club dispense with his services. Norwich, who had also sacked their manager, Daniel Farke, snapped Smith up, and now just a few weeks into his Canaries tenure, Smith must face his old team. His Villa successor Steven Gerrard has made an impressive start, with three wins in five games, only losing to the top two, Manchester City and Liverpool. Second-bottom Norwich can get out of the bottom three, for today at least, with three points against Villa.

Total Goal Minutes (120-130)

Norwich have looked tighter at the back since Smith took over as manager as he tries to build a foundation for the team. At the weekend Manchester United needed a penalty to make the breakthrough, and while the problems of scoring at the right end remain, the Canaries at least seem to have stopped letting in so many goals. Punters seem to have bought into that idea, while plenty of selling of goals markets going on, including selling Total Goal Minutes.

Who is in action at snooker’s World Grand Prix tonight?

It’s non stop in the snooker calendar as Christmas approaches, and not only is the World Grand Prix already under way, the top seed is already out. The seedings for this tournament go on the one year list, with UK Championship winner Zhao Xintong top. He went out to Martin Gould in the opening match last night, and tonight the likes of Judd Trump, who faces Ben Woollaston, and Neil Robertson, who takes on Noppon Saengkham, will hope to avoid similar shocks. The action in Coventry starts at 7pm.

Ben Woollaston Total Points (194-214)

There is no doubt that Judd Trump deserves to be favourite for tonight’s match, but Ben Woollaston is no pushover and is not the type to give up if he falls behind. While Woollaston may not win, he could still put up a better performance than the spread suggests, with buyers backing him to score more than 214 points over the best of seven frames match. Trump has gone out early in a few tournaments recently, and if Woollaston can get a foothold in this match, he'll know that stranger things have happened.
