Spread Bets Of The Day
Is there any horse racing action this evening?
There are 8 races at tonight’s meeting at Wolverhampton, starting with the 4.55.
Favourite Rush 24-26
Tonight’s action looks fairly wide open, and that’s reflected in the Favourite Rush spread. This market awards points depending how many favourites win over the whole of tonight’s cards, 0 points for no winners, 10 points for one winner, 20 for two, 33 for three, 50 for four, 70 for five and 100 for six or more. Taking an early look at the card, there is one favourite around evens, a couple around 2/1, a couple closer to 3/1 and three at bigger prices than that.
Jockey Performance David Probert 30-32
This market awards points depending on the finishing positions of the jockeys, with 25 for 1st, 10 for 2nd and 5 for 3rd. Probert has seven rides tonight, including the favourite in the 6.30 race, itsallaboutluck, but the second half of the card sees him partner quite a few runners likely to go off 16/1 or more. Trevor Whelan has the second highest spread in the Jockey Performance market at 27.5-29 despite only having three rides. He will partner the favourite Invincible Soldier in the 19.30 before jumping on the odd-on favourite I’m Watching You in the final race.
What other sport is on tonight?
World Grand Prix Darts
The World Grand Prix 1st round concludes at the Morningside Arena in Leicester with some huge names making their tournament bows tonight. Michael van Gerwen, a five-time winner of this event, faces fellow Dutchman Danny Noppert straight after the clash between two more former world champs, Peter Wright and Rob Cross. Yet another former world champion, Gary Anderson, faces Ian White, while Premier League champion Jonny Clayton and Grand Slam of Darts winner Jose de Sousa also get their campaigns underway.
Spreadex Bankers 81-85
As well as betting on individual games, Spreadex has a number of specials covering the evening’s action, and one that’s caught the eye is the Spreadex Bankers spread of 81-85. This market awards 25 points per victory for each of four players – Clayton, Wright, Van Gerwen and De Sousa – plus a 25 point bonus if they all win. This means if all four win, the final result will be 125, but if one loses, the maximum make up is 75. We’ve seen some selling in this market at 81, as punters bet that not all four favourites will win.
Peter Wright v Rob Cross Checkout Ton-ups 26-29
This battle between the 2020 world champion and the 2018 champ is the highlight of a top class night of arrows. With a close encounter expected and two notorious big finishers, there’s been some buyers around in this market, which totals all the checkouts over 100 in the match (so a 170 maximum checkout would add 70 to this total). The question is, are these two former champions of the world still playing at their peak?
Who is playing in this week’s NFL Monday Night Football?
Los Angeles Chargers v Las Vegas Raiders
It’s a massive game in the NFL this week as the unbeaten Raiders go to LA to face the Chargers. Vegas will be looking to build on their 3-0 record built on arguably the best offense in the NFL, while the Chargers, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs in week 3, are built on a strong defence.
Total TD Minutes 182-202
A classic encounter of a great offense and great defence will see both these teams trying to impress their strength on the other. We’ve seen plenty of buying in various markets, which seems to signal that the Raiders will get their way and turn this game into a shootout. Certainly those watching will hope so!
