Spread Bets Of The Day
What’s the biggest game of the weekend?
There’s little doubt that Sunday’s match between leader Liverpool and champions Man City has the makings of a classic. They’ve won the past four Premier League titles between them, and currently stand first and second in the table. While a lot of the heavyweight clashes have been tight, this fixture often has goals in it.
Goals x Corners 32-36
It’s easy to look at the attacking superstars on show in this game and expect goals galore…until you notice how many fantastic defenders will also be playing, not to mention two of the best goalkeepers in the world! City are playing their third massive game in a week, after the 1-0 win at Chelsea and 2-0 defeat at PSG. This game has traditionally had more goals than most of the big club match-ups but will that continue? Punters who think it will could buy in the Goals x Corners market at 36, but those thinking it could be tight, possibly 0-0, will be sellers.
Is there any Friday Night Football?
It may not be a Premier League game any more, but Stoke against West Bromwich Albion should still be a decent battle as Stoke look to move within a point of Championship leaders West Brom.
Multi-Bookings 310-390
Stoke have a fine home record, with four wins and a draw from their five home games, but the Baggies are unbeaten all season, and have won on both of their last two visits to Stoke. With so much to play and the two teams well matched, we’ve seen buying in a number of our bookings markets. The Multi-Bookings spread is made up of first half total bookings points multiplied by second half.
Are there any Spreadex Premier League special bets?
There certainly are. As ever, our traders have put together a number of special bets that cover the weekend’s Premier League games. Whether you want to buy or sell on total red cards or penalties, fastest goal and countless combination bets over all the games, there’s plenty of choice.
Premier League Weekend (3) Top of the Flops 37-40
This market measures how many minutes pass before any of three teams – Everton, Southampton and Newcastle – score a goal. Punters who fancy Everton to catch Man United cold, or Southampton to nick one at Chelsea, or Newcastle to start well at Wolves, will be selling in this market, but if none of them score, the maximum make-up is 90.
Who plays in Saturday’s early Premier League game?
Manchester United get the Premier League weekend underway again this week, looking for a better result against Everton than they managed against Aston Villa last week. United looked devoid of ideas as Villa left Old Trafford with all three points, and they’ve only managed draws the last two times Everton have visited them.
Penalty Goal Minutes 16-19
Since Ronaldo re-signed for United, the talk has been of whether he will get to take penalties, given how good Bruno Fernandes’ record from the spot is. We got to find out last week, when United were awarded a spot kick against Villa. Bruno took it….and missed horribly. Presumably Ronaldo now takes over, and punters who think it would be typical that he’ll get a chance straight away will be buying at 19, especially given Everton have already had – and scored – three penalties this season.
Who is in the Super League Grand Final?
Catalans Dragons await the winner of tonight’s semi-final between St Helens and Leeds Rhinos. These two old rivals have made 16 Grand Final appearances between them, and the reward for victory tonight is a place in the Old Trafford showpiece against Grand Final first timers Catalans. Saints have won the last eight meetings between these two sides, including a 40-6 victory in the penultimate round of regular season games.
Try Rush 78-84
Leeds ground out an 8-0 win at Wigan in their play-off eliminator, and their best hope of success at St Helens looks to be to try and repeat that defensive display. Will they be strong enough to hold out against a Saints team that put 40 on them just a couple of weeks ago? This market awards no points for no tries, 5 for one try, 10 for two, 20 for three, 33 for four, 50 for five, 70 for six, 100 for seven, 130 for eight, 160 for nine and 200 for 10 or more.
