Spread Bets Of The Day
It is a huge weekend for Champions League and Europa League football – but what should football spread betting fans be paying attention to? It’s the Sports Spread Bets of the Day! What are the best bets for Barcelona v Bayern Munich? In the pick of the quarter-finals, Champions League juggernauts Barcelona and Bayern Munich meet on Friday night, at 8pm on BT Sport 1. Since their early winter wobble, Bayern Munich have been on another level. They have won 26 of their last 27 games across all competitions, the only blip being a February draw against RB Leipzig. They finished the Bundesliga season with a 13 game winning streak. They picked up the DFB-Pokal in July. And they are the only team to win every single game in the Champions League this season. Against that, Barca don’t quite stack up. Finishing 5 points behind Real Madrid in La Liga, their restart was blighted by dropped points against Sevilla, Celta Vigo, Atletico and Osasuna. And though they too are unbeaten in Europe, they’ve had 3 draws in 8 games. Of course, the Spaniards have the inimitable Lionel Messi. But Bayern are witnessing an otherworldly season from Robert Lewandowski. How many goals has Robert Lewandowski scored this season? That’d be 53 in 44 appearances, including 13 in the Champions League – 4 away from Ronaldo’s single-season record in Europe. What are the odds on Lewandowski scoring against Barcelona? It is sign of how good he is that he sits at a massive SMM spread of 70-80, and is odds on at 4/6! That compares to Messi at 49-57 and 21/20 respectively. Though you can never discount the Spanish side, after beating Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate the Germans sit at a Bayern Munich/Barcelona Goal Supremacy spread of 0.35-0.55, with a promising Total Goals spread of 3.35-3.55 and a Total Goal Minutes spread of 170-185. What are the odds on Man City beating Lyon?On paper the easiest quarter-final to predict, Man City face a Juventus-beating Lyon this Saturday, at 8pm on BT Sport 1.Like Bayern and Barca, City are unbeaten in the Champions League this season, with 2 draws and 6 wins. Most importantly, they knocked Real Madrid out in the last-16, with a 4-2 victory on aggregate. Lyon, on the other hand, have had a rather more choppy route to the quarter-finals. In fact, they’ve only actually won 3 games so far, against RB Leipzig, Benfica and, crucially, in their 1st leg against Juventus. An away goal in Turin then sealed their spot in the quarters, but leaves them in danger of a mauling at the hands of City. And that’s what Spreadex’s prices would suggest, with a one-sided Man City/Lyon Goal Supremacy spread of 1.65-1.85 and a Total Goals spread of 3.05-3.25. As for up front, what are the odds on Raheem Sterling scoring against Lyon? The England star has 6 goals in Europe, including the opener against Real last week, and sits at a PGM spread of 26-29 and fixed odds of 11/10. What are the odds on Man United winning the Europa League? After a less than impressive win against Copenhagen in the quarter-finals, Man United face Sevilla in the Europa League semis this Sunday, at 8pm on BT Sport 1. Only beating the Danes thanks their 21st penalty of the season in extra time, United have seen themselves slip below Inter Milan as favourites to win the Europa League. United are at an Outright Index spread of 70-73 with fixed odds of 21/10, In comparison, Inter are at 75-78, Sevilla at 65-68 and Shakhtar Donetsk at 59-62. Having already knocked out an English club from the competition, can Sevilla beat Man United on Sunday? It’s going to be close – Spreadex are offering a Man United/Sevilla Goal Supremacy spread of 0-0.2, with a Total Goals spread of 2.2-2.4. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
