Horse Racing

The finale to the National Hunt season, Aintree’s three day Grand National Meeting, gets underway today and as you would expect we have all the action covered.

The big race today (Thursday) is the Betfred Bowl, where The Giant Bolster, Cape Tribulation and Silviniaco Conti do battle for the first time since the Gold Cup. Tomorrow’s (Friday’s) race of interest is the Topham chase - run over Grand National Fences - and contested by Arctic Ben, Bennys Mist and Chance du Royto name a few. But all eyes will be on the Saturday 4:15pm race for this year’s Grand National.

The highly fancied On His Own is currently leading the way in the fixed odds betting at 8/1, while Katie Walsh tries to become the woman to ride a Grand National Winner is 11/1 on Seabass. Teaforthree, who won the four-mile National Hunt chase at last season’s Cheltenham Festival is currently 14/1 and proving popular. It’s also worth noting that we will be paying out down to sixth place on the spreads with our 100-60-30-20-10-5 index.

We are also offering a number of specials on the big race with highlights including Number of Finishers 16-17, Winning Distances 6-7 and Age of Winner 39-45.
We will also offer prices for other upcoming races. Don’t see a price for a horse in a particular race that you are interested in?

Then simply email us at antepost@spreadex.com stating the horse and race in question and we will get back to you with a price.

Don’t forget that we are now offering an Unnamed Favourite market on each horse race. This allows you to place a bet on whichever horse is the starting price favourite at the off. Note that if the favourite is nominated and two or more runners start at the shortest odds, then stakes are equally divided over the ‘joint’ or ‘co’ favourites created. So, if you place £10 on ‘Unnamed Favourite’ and there are two favourites, you will get a £5 bet on each of them.

Football

We’re in-play on all the Europa League ties this evening (Thursday) including Benfica/Newcastle 1.05-1.25, Chelsea/Rubin Kazan 1.05-1.25 and Tottenham/Basel 1.35-1.55.

Due to European fixtures there is a slightly disjointed fixture list this weekend that starts on Saturday at 12:45pm as Reading host Southampton.

Total Goal Minutes settled at 271 as the Royals lost to Arsenal last time out. Will this match be a goal fest as well? Our Total Goal Minutes quote is 145-155.

There are only three 3pm kick-offs this week that include Norwich v Swansea (Nor/Swa 0-0.2), Stoke v Aston Villa (Sto/AST 0.4-0.6) and West Brom v Arsenal (Ars/Wes 0.5-0.7).

On Sunday at 1.30pm Liverpool clash with West Ham. 12 goals have been scored in the Reds’ last three games. Our Total Goals quote in this one is 3-3.2.

Tottenham and Everton clash in the 2.05pm match. Both sides are battling for a European spot via the league, but how will the points be dished out? We have AVB’s side at 10/11 for the win, with the visitors at 14/5 and the draw 5/2.

The two 3pm Games on Sunday are Chelsea v Sunderland (Che/Sun 1.5-1.7) and Newcastle v Fulham (New/Ful 0.5-0.5).

At 4.10pm QPR and Wigan meet in a match that could have huge ramifications at the bottom of the table. Harry Redknapp’s side are currently favourites to take maximum points as our Supremacy quote is QPR/Wigan 0.1-0.3.

The title could be all but sewn up on Monday night when Manchester United look to extend their lead over champions and fierce rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford. Last season City won this fixture 6-1 with Total Goal Minutes making up at 501. Our TGM quote for this one is 143-153.

And don’t forget about our Take Your Money feature allowing you to close out of your fixed odds bets in-play. Find out more here.

Rugby

The Heineken cup is the main focus of this week’s rugby as we reach the quarter-final stage of the competition.

The action starts on Saturday as Clermont tackle Montpellier. Clermont came through their group unbeaten, can they continue their form? Our Supremacy quote is Clermont/Montpellier 10-13.

The second game of the day sees Ulster continue their quest to play a second Heineken Cup final in Dublin. We have them at 13/8 to see off Saracens who are 8/15 for the win and the draw at 18/1.

The other games on Sunday are Harlequins v Munster (Har/Mun 7-10) and Toulon v Leicester (Tou/Lei 8/11).

We will also be covering the Rugby League, NRL and the Super Rugby.

Sebastian Vettel may have triumphed in Malaysia, but where does that leave him on our Drivers’ Championship market? He’s currently being quoted at 41-44, with Fernando Alonso 31-34, Kimi Raikkonen 22-25, Lewis Hamilton 15-18 and Jenson Button 7-10.
