Football

Arsenal will be clinging to the hope of gaining something from a season which has disintegrated in recent weeks as they host Wigan in the first FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday.

We have the Gunners as favourites at 1/2 with holders Wigan 5/1 and the draw 3/1. In the other semi-final on Sunday, Hull are 8/11 favourites with League One Sheffield United 17/4 and the draw 12/5.

In the Premier League, the big game of the weekend is undoubtedly at Anfield on Sunday for Liverpool v Manchester City in a crucial title clash. Our traders are favouring the hosts here with our spread betting Supremacy price Liverpool/Manchester City 0.1 – 0.3.

Chelsea take on Swansea in the late Sunday game at the Liberty Stadium and are 4/6 favourites to take all three points. The Swans are 17/4 and the draw 13/5.

After an eventful race in the Grand National at Aintree on Saturday, the focus moves north of the border for the Scottish Grand National meeting from Ayr tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.

With the World T20 now done and dusted the focus remains on the shorter form of the game ahead of the Indian Premier League, which begins with Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday, April 16.

The first part of the IPL season is scheduled to take place in the UAE with the next stages moving back to India.

Rugby
 


This weekend’s Aviva Premiership TV games are Sale v Harlequins tomorrow (Friday), Gloucester v Bath on Saturday and Saracens v Northampton Saints on Sunday.

Motor Racing

Mercedes once again dominated proceedings at the Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg came in first and second.

Hamilton is the 4/7 favourite to win the championship this season with Rosberg 2/1 and reigning four-time champion Sebastian Vettel 7/1.

Rosberg currently leads the table with 61 points from Hamilton’s 50 but our traders have Hamilton’s eventual Season Points spread at 289 – 299 with Rosberg 264 – 274 and Vettel (currently on 23) 212 – 222.

Mercedes are 1/12 to win the Constructors’ Championship with Red Bull 7/1, Ferrari 25/1 and McLaren 50/1.

The next Grand Prix is in China a week on Sunday.

Darts


The Premier League of Darts this week moves to week 10 of the competition after Wes Newton and Simon Whitlock were eliminated during ‘Judgement Night’ in Cardiff last week.

As we move into the second half of the season, tonight’s action from Sheffield sees Potteries pair Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis go head to head in the battle of the Stokies.

Taylor is the slight favourite at 10/11 with Lewis 7/4 and the draw 15/4. For the spread betting 10-3 Leg Supremacy we have Taylor/Lewis 2 – 5.

Boxing

The trash talking is soon to start up in earnest as the build-up continues for Froch v Groves 2 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 31st.

Froch was the controversial winner in round nine first time around after surviving an onslaught from Groves in the early rounds and with many observers feeling Groves should have been given more time to continue.

So who will prevail in the second showdown? Our traders have Froch the 4/7 favourite, Groves a 6/4 shot and the draw 25/1. Fight Minutes are priced at 26 – 27.5 meaning our traders think the fight will again finish at around the ninth round.

We also have prices on Manny Pacquiao’s rematch with Timothy Bradley on Sunday, April 13th in Las Vegas.

Politics


The Scottish Independence Referendum takes place on September 18th and our traders reckon it’s going to end as a ‘No’ vote.

That’s 2/9 to be the outcome while a ‘Yes’ vote is 3/1.

We also have prices on the next General Election. For Most Seats we have Labour 4/6, Conservatives, 6/5, UKIP 100/1 and Liberal Democrats 150/1.

For Overall Majority we have Labour 11/8, Conservatives 3/1, UKIP 100/1, Liberal Deomocrats 200/1 and No Overall Majority 11/8.

We also have markets live for who will be the next Prime Minister after David Cameron.

Ed Milliband is 8/13 favourite followed by Boris Johnson at 12/1, Theresa May at 14/1, Yvette Cooper 14/1, Phillip Hammond 20/1 and George Osborne 25/1.
