Cricket

The Cricket World Cup starts on Friday with 49 ODI matches taking place over 44 days Down Under – and we'll have in-play fixed odds and spread betting on every game.

The first two matches see New Zealand (4/9) play Sri Lanka (7/4) at 10pm and England (21/10) take on Australia (4/11) in the early hours of Saturday morning UK-time.

England take on Italy on Saturday after a superb win over Wales last weekend in the Six Nations - see our blogger's Six Nations Round 2 betting preview here.

Football

The FA Cup is at the fifth round stage with 16 sides aiming to make it through to the quarter-finals – and with Chelsea and Manchester City out, the tournament is wide open.

Arsenal, who host Middlesbrough, are 12/5 favourites to lift the cup again, Manchester United, who journey to Preston, are 5/2, Liverpool, who travel to Crystal Palace, are 9/2 and West Ham, who take on West Brom at the Hawthorns, are 11/1.

Darts

Phil Taylor faces another tough test as we reach week two of the Premier League of darts tonight (Thursday).

After going down 7-5 to World Champion Gary Anderson last week, ‘The Power' faces fellow Stokey Adrian Lewis in Bournemouth.

Taylor is even money and Lewis 13/8 with our 10-3 Supremacy spread betting price Taylor/Lewis 0 – 3.

The other matches taking place are Wright v Anderson, van Gerwen v Bunting, Wade v Huybrechts and Chisnall v van Barneveld.

Tennis

Andy Murray is in action as we reach round two of the ATP Rotterdam. Murray, who beat Nicolas Mahut 6-3, 6-2 in the first round was due to play Vasek Pospisil.

We also have in-play tennis fixed odds and spread betting coverage from the ATP Sao Paulo and WTA Pattaya and Antwerp events.

Looking at Murray's season ahead we have him 4/9 not to land a major this campaign, 15/8 to win one, 12/1 to win two and 100/1 to win all three remaining.

Horse Racing

Anticipation continues to build ahead of the Cheltenham Festival in March with this weekend's big events the Ascot Chase Raceday on Saturday and Betfred Grand National trial from Haydock.

Looking ahead to the feature races at the festival itself in March, and in our Antepost prices Faugheen is the 6/5 favourite for the Champion Hurdle ahead of The New One, at 3/1 and Jezki at 9/2, Sprinter Sacre the 11/4 favourite for the Champion Chase ahead of Dodging Bullets at 4/1, Champagne Fever at 11/2 and Sire De Grugy at 6/1.

More of That is the 7/2 favourite for the World Hurdle ahead of Saphir du Rheu at 6/1, Zarkandar at 8/1 and Rock On Ruby at 9/1 while Silviniaco Conti is the 3/1 favourite for the Gold Cup ahead of Road to Riches and Many Clouds both at 8/1 and Carlingford Lough at 10/1.

Golf

With Tiger Woods taking an indefinite break from golf after admitting his game is ‘unacceptable for tournament play' the focus turns to those who are in-form, at the AT&T ProAm.

Leading the outright fixed odds betting is Jimmy Walker at 15/2 ahead of last week's Farmers Insurance Open winner Jason Day at 8/1, Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson both at 12/1 and Patrick Reed at 14/1.

Politics

Our spreads for the number of seats at the next General Election are now live and the Conservatives already seem to be making ground in the race to impress in May.

The Conservatives' number of predicted seats has moved from 279 – 285 to 281 – 287 while Labour have slipped from 275 – 281 to 273 – 279. The SNP's spread for number of seats is 36 – 39, Lib Dems 26 – 29 and UKIP 5.5 – 7.5.

Our fixed odds prices for the most seats are Conservatives at 4/6, Labour 11/10, UKIP 100/1 and Lib Dems 500/1.

In terms of overall majority, No Overall Majority is 1/5, Conservative Majority 9/2, Labour Majority 14/1, UKIP Majority 100/1 and Lib Dem Majority 500/1.

TV special

The Oscars takes place on February 22nd and we have outright fixed odds prices available on Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Picture.

Eddie Redmayne leads the betting at 3/10 for Best Actor for his portrayal of Professor Stephen Hawking in the Theory of Everything which is a 100/1 shot for Best Picture behind Birdman at 4/7 and Boyhood at 7/5.

Julianne Moore looks a shoe in at 1/500 for Best Actress for her role as a mother of three with the early onset of Alzheimer's in Still Alice, while Alexandro G Inarritu is 1/2 favourite to win Best Director for his film Birdman.
