The two-Test series against Sri Lanka starts at Lord’s tomorrow with England determined to avenge the ODI series defeat that was tinged with controversy after Jos Buttler was run out at the non-striker’s end by Sachithra Senanayake.

Buttler himself did not make the Test squad, but how will the rest of Peter Moores’ side – including uncapped trio Sam Robson, Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan – fare?

Hot on the heels of the Oaks and the Derby, the first class racing continues with Royal Ascot starting on Tuesday next week.

The WTA Birmingham continues as we reach the third round of the competition. It’s an all-Aussie affair later on as Casey Dellacqua and Sam Stosur go head-to-head, with Dellacqua currently 9/4 to progress. We will also be covering the action from ATP Halle.

With Wimbledon just around the corner our long term prices are now live. In the men’s draw we have Novak Djokovic as 7/4 favourite, with Andy Murray 100/30 and Rafael Nadal 4/1. Serena Williams leads the way for the ladies at 5/4, with Maria Sharapova 5/1 and Simona Halep 9/1.

Rugby 

Leeds and Huddersfield go head-to-head in tonight’s Super league fixture. Will the Rhinos make the most of the home advantage? The current Supremacy quote is Leeds/Huddersfield 4-7. Wigan and Castleford meet in tomorrow’s televised game and we also have coverage from the NRL.

We’re down to the business end of the NBA and NHL seasons while the MLB continues with regular season games.

In basketball the Spurs lead the series 2-1 and are San Antonio/Miami 4.5-6.5 in our 10-3 series supremacy.

In the ice hockey, the Los Angeles Kings take a two game lead into the third game against New York Rangers on Saturday night.

The Scottish Independence Referendum takes place on September 18th and our traders reckon it’s going to end as a ‘No’ vote.

That’s 2/7 to be the outcome while a ‘Yes’ vote is 5/2.

We also have prices on the next General Election. For Most Seats we have Labour 4/5, Conservatives even money, UKIP 66/1 and Liberal Democrats 150/1.
