Horse Racing

We are pleased to announce you can now place forecast and tricast fixed odds bets on horse racing with Spreadex.

Forecast and tricast bets allow you to bet on the correct order for the top 2 or 3 finishing positions in a race. Click the following link to find out more on forecast and tricast betting.

These bets complement our existing each-way, accumulator and multiple fixed odds bet options.

As well as fixed odds we offer a full range of horse racing spread betting markets including Card Markets covering individual races, meetings and groups of meetings on a given day.

For a reminder of how our Aggregate Card Markets work, these markets combine all our usual Card Markets across different meetings in a day in one overall spread for you to play on.

E.g. Our Aggregate Card Winning Distances would be the total of all the distances won by, across all races at all nominated meetings in one day. This principle applies to other Card Markets such as Double Numbers, Favourites, Starting Prices, 2nd to 3rd Distances etc.

It also applies to some of our new Card Markets including Favourites x 10 and Squared Numbers. We have added a new rule to explain these markets; rule w) on page 16 of our Sports Spread Betting Rulebook.

Football

It promises to be a cracking weekend of FA Cup football as the Premier League’s top four contest the two ties of the round with Man City v Chelsea on Saturday and Arsenal v Liverpool on Sunday.

Chelsea shocked the Citizens with a 1-0 win in the league on Monday last week, so can Jose Mourinho mastermind another tactical master class over Manuel Pelligrini? We have the Supremacy price Man City/Chelsea 0.3-0.5.

On Sunday Arsenal will be out to avenge the weekend’s 5-1 mauling at Anfield, but will the Gunners be able to contain Luis Suarez and co this time around? We have Total Goal Minutes for this one at 146-156.

The other FA Cup last 16 ties are: Southampton/Sunderland (h) 0.2-0.4, Cardiff/Wigan 0.25-0.45, Sheff Weds/Charlton 0.4-0.6, Everton/Swansea 0.85-1.05, Nottm Forest/Sheff Utd (h) 0.2-0.4, Brighton/Hull 0.15-0.35.

With the Champions League last 16 returning next week, our spreads and fixed odds for the last 16 first leg games are now live with, interestingly, none of the home sides favourites for any of the ties.

Our Supremacy prices are; PSG/Leverkusen (h) 0.1 - 0.3, Barcelona/Man City 0 - 0.2, Atl Madrid/AC Milan (h) 0.15 - 0.35, B Munich/Arsenal (h) 0.55 - 0.75, Dortmund/Zenit (h) 0.45 - 0.65, Man United/Olympiakos (h) 0.2 - 0.4, Chelsea/Galatasaray(h) 0.5 - 0.7 and Real Madrid/Schalke (h) 1 - 1.2.

Our fixed odds outright prices have Bayern Munich 9/4 favourites, Real Madrid 9/2, Barcelona 5/1, Dortmund 12/1, Chelsea 12/1, Atletico Madrid 12/1, Manchester City 12/1, Paris St Germain 14/1, Manchester United 16/1 and Arsenal 33/1.

We’ve also now released further World Cup betting markets including Group spread betting indices and a range of other fixed odds markets.

Will England get out of their tough group? England’s 25:10:5 Group Index price is 10.25-11.75 and their fixed odds price to qualify is 4/6.

The Super League season began with a home defeat for defending champions Wigan Warriors last week as they slumped 24-8 defeat to Huddersfield Giants.

However, they recovered to beat New Zealand Warriors 46-22 in midweek.

Switching codes to rugby union, the focus is back on club rugby this weekend as the Six Nations takes a break.

Cricket

With England appointing Paul Collingwood into their Twenty20 team set-up will it give the side more chance of success at the T20 World Cup, which starts on 16th March?

Our traders are not convinced as we’re currently industry joint-best price for England to win the tournament at 12/1.

Elsewhere, we’ll be in-play on the South Africa v Australia 1st Test, New Zealand v India 2nd Test and Bangladesh v Sri Lanka 2nd T20.

Golf

After Jimmy Walker held his nerve to win the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am last week, the PGA Tour this week heads to the Riviera Country Club in California for the Northern Trust Open.

Ahead of the start of the tournament, Walker was a 6-8 spread on our 80-40-30-25-20-15-10-5 spread betting Leaderboard (20/1 on our fixed odds).

The European Tour stays in South Africa after last week’s Joburg Open with a low-key field for the Africa Open on the Sunshine Coast.

George Coetzee, who won the Joburg Open last week, is among a number of the more higher-profile players who have pulled out of playing.

Thomas Aiken was the favourite ahead of the start of the tournament at 11-14 on our 80-40-30-25-20-15-10-5 spread betting Leaderboard index (10/1 on the fixed odds).
